Last week I stayed in the Broughton for the second time in a year. As before, Freddie & Fiona made us very welcome. The purpose of this visit was the occasion of my daugter's wedding in Fife. This involved logistical problems with collection and storage of some wedding related luggage, flexible arrival times etc., and Freddie & Fiona bent over backwards to help us with these problems. The food and accommodation was excellent as on our previous visit. Price was very reasonable and some parking is available at no extra charge. We intend to make a visit there as part of an annual visit to Scotland in future but promise not to bring the wedding related problems next time! Sincere thanks to you both. Strongly recommend.

We have just spent a 4 night break at the Broughton and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fiona and Freddie are a lovely couple who make you feel very welcome. They were most helpful and informative and gave us some good recommendations.
Room was smaller than expected but still adequate for our needs. There were facilities in room for hot drinks, tea/coffee / hot choc, and shortbread. The bed was extremely comfortable with good bed linen, pillows and a cosy quilt.
Breakfast was great. Good selection to suit all tastes and appetites. Freddie serves it up with a smile every morning.
Location is great in a nice quiet street, but close to landmarks, museums, galleries, restaurants and bars.
We had a smashing time and would stay at the Broughton again.
Thanks again Fiona and Freddie for you hospitality. Hope to see you again.

I stayed at the Broughton on the weekend 11th-13th of April with my family. On arrival in town we had a short walk from the Waverley train station to get to there, We found the location great for all the local amenities and sites to visit.

It was clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning had a good variety and was cooked perfect.
Would definitely recommend to anyone for a short or long stay, will be booking our next visit soon :-)

We are very pleased with everything! Love to return and absolutely recommended. Nice and clean rooms. Not directly in the tourist roads, but very near which we think is much better. Safe, friendly and helpful!

Fiona and Freddie are operating the hotel with their heart. We stayed there for 2 nights and returned from St Andrews for another night. The location is within walking distance to most of the attractions. In fact we did walk to all places we visited during the 3 days. Our room with a street view and the surroundings were quiet. Free private parking and high speed WiFi. Choices of breakfast, recommend the kipper which is a bit different from English/Scottish (Full Monty) Breakfast.

Just spent the weekend in this great City; but the accommodation made it for us. It's only 10 minutes from the railway station and City centre; so a great place to stay at reasonable prices.

The owners are very friendly and ultra helpful.

Room was great, all we needed, very clean & tidy and as for their breakfasts - Great, superb choice and quality.

Stay here with confidence.

Good location for the Waverley rail station, theatre and main attractions in Edinburgh. Very helpful host. Good value for money. Leaving our bag until late afternoon on our last day was a real bonus. We didn't use the room during the day but it was nice to know that we had the ability to call back if necessary. Prefer this set up to the large hotel chains. We will stay again.
