My husband and I stayed at the Broughton recently, on our first trip to Scotland. Freddie and Fiona were excellent hosts, and made us feel very welcome. We were given a nice, bright room on the first floor, and while the room and bathroom were small, and the bed only a double, we were still comfortable. There wasn't a lot of room for luggage either, but with the rooms the size they are there is not much that can be done about that and we managed. Breakfast was good, especially the cooked choices. The location was excellent, and meant that it was easy to access everything we wanted to see, on foot. I would definitely recommend the Broughton to any one planning on staying in Edinburgh

We stayed at the Broughton along with our brother and sister-in-law and all agreed that we will stay at the Broughton again the next time that we are in Edinburgh.

Freddie and Fiona were most helpful and the breakfasts were very good. It was the best experience that we have had in Edinburgh and we could not have been happier with the location. It was an easy walk to old town and the Royal Mile; the Castle; and the Palace.

Highly recommended.

This was a very pleasant stay in a lovely B and B run by two lovely people. Exceptionally warm and welcoming, from the helpful tourist tips to the candy dish at the entrance to the full and satisfying home-cooked breakfasts. We would definitely recommend this B and B. Great location, also.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor and had lovely roof-top windows

WE STAYED FOR 2 NIGHTS AT THIS CENTRAL B and B .
Our room was small (at the top of the house)which meant that the low eaves caused a problem for my hubby. The bathroom was spacious .
Freddie was on his own at breakfast time and although the food was delicious and plentiful it did feel rather hurried (maybe because Fiona was away)
The central location makes it easy to explore the city and it is close to good places to eat in Broughton Street .
Off street parking is available at the rear which is helpful .
