“Love love love it!”

I absolutely love Mimi's. They do the best afternoon tea in town, with fresh sandwiches and lovely warm scones. Their chocolate rocky road is so amazing- I can't get enough of it!

“Very expensive, Not for the locals”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I was excited that this was opening as I'm partial to a cup cake! I was really surprised at the cost of a cake.. It's very expensive and is obviously aimed at the tourist market and not the locals.. The place is too small to sit comfortably as it gets quite busy and you can't have a chat without everyone else hearing your conversation.

The staff however are very friendly and make you feel most welcome.

“PARLOUR SIZE IS RIGHT!”
Reviewed 25 May 2014

Popped in here for coffee with a friend yesterday morning. We ordered a skinny latte and a cappuccino at around £2.50 each plus a small bag of homemade tablet. Service was prompt and the ladies on duty were most kind and obliging.

Business was brisk. Indeed the place isn't half big enough to accommodate customers and a lot of people left because there was not enough room! Great place otherwise with a wondrous selection of top quality indulgent cakes, goodies and soft drinks. They also do light lunches if something a bit more substantial is required.

Fabulous pit stop - but you can't really sit long to chat as folks are queuing up at the door to be served - and there are not enough tables to meet demand. A great shame! Apart from that major drawback, I would highly recommend this classy little gem on the tourist trail that is the Royal Mile.

“Perfect Picnic Parlour!”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

Being a massive Mimi's Bakehouse fan I was so excited when they opened this take away shop just a few minutes down the road from where I live, what could be better but Mimi on your door step?! Just spotted they are on trip advisor now so thought I would just write a wee review to say how lovely the shop is, the staff are so helpful and friendly and of course the cakes amazing!! The perfect cake and coffee pit stop! Just note this is a small take away shop only so not as big as the original Mimi's but worth a visit!!
