Treated ourselves to a night here in Feb. Beautiful room, nice extras like an ipod & speakers, rotating tv, very comfortable bedding & nice view.

Only downsides were the internet problems. Didn't work the whole time we were there.

Note if you aren't used to spending lots of money on somewhere and decide to come here you do feel a little poor in comparison to the rest of the guests but I got over that feeling quite quickly.

Overall, classy, beautiful hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We do apologise for the problems with the Wifi, we have addressed these technical issues and are in the process of improving our wireless service. We like to consider ourselves as a luxury establishment, but one that lets our differing clienteles feel comfortable, no matter what their budget. I am pleased that we made you feel welcome. I came here for an overnight stay DBB with my 7yo daughter. The staff couldn't do enough for us. I have stayed here a few times before with just my husband but as its more of a high end hotel i wasn't sure how accepting they would be towards children but i was extremely pleasantly surprised. The first time i stayed here was on a DBB voucher approx 2 years ago and i found the dinner very poor but tonight it was utterly mouthwatering!!!! This hotel it brilliant as is its staff, i will always stay here when I'm in Edinburgh be it with or without a voucher. Will be back, again.......

I stayed in room number 1 of the tigerlilly at Christmas time with my boyfriend and it was wonderful, we were given free cocktails while they prepared the room and when we entered it had rose petals all over the bed and wine and chocolates sitting out on the table. It was a lovely stay, I would go back in a heartbeat!

My husband and I stayed overnight in Tiger Lily which was a Christmas gift from family.
From the moment we arrived at the Hotel the staff were friendly and efficient.
We had our complimentary cocktails ,which were part of the package, before dinner and had no problem exchanging the voucher from the named cocktail on the voucher to a cocktail of choice.
Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and served promptly as was breakfast the following morning.
The staff were friendly and very efficient and took time to ensure that you were well looked after.
The only fault with my stay at Tiger Lily was that we were not staying a litter longer !!
We will definitely return.

I purchased an ITISON deal as a Valentine's present for my fiancé. The deal included B&B, rose petals, rose sparkling wine and handmade chocolates. The reception area is not obvious when you enter the boutique hotel but a lovely member of staff pointed us in the right direction. The staff were lovely and welcoming especially Ryan, concierge. We were upgraded to a complimentary luxury room which was a lovely surprise. The room was modern, spacious and had all mod cons; so is the hotel in general. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. We ate from the two courses for £15 menu which was great value; as were the cocktails. We got breakfast in bed the next morning which was a rare treat and the food was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel and we hope to return soon. I would probably advise staying during the week because of the good offers/value for money and plus I know how popular it is at the weekend for socialising so it was nice to enjoy the hotel without it being crowded and staff being under pressure.

We stayed here for two nights and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the wee touches that we found.
The cocktails were lush, as was the scrumptious meal. The restaurant as previously mentioned can get a bit noisy, it seems to be a meeting place for people finishing off work on a Friday evening.
In saying that, we'd definitely go back.

Very much a hotel for mid thirties and under. Pleasant rooms but spoilt by form over function, ie where a light switch would do (and be welcome) you have to decipher a control panel to turn the lights on and off, the first night we gave up and slept with them on. Very noisy bar, unfortunately no real division between guests and public, excellent food though and pleasant helpful staff. If you like noisy busy bars first and accommodation second then you may like it. Regrettably we were woken early Sunday by the last evenings bottles being thrown into a skip at back, very annoying. We found it expensive and the bill was wrong by 20%!

Room Tip: Choose a room on 2nd floor or above due to noise
