"Serviced" in name only. We weren't informed that we had to pick up keys at a different location on Queen Street and we also weren't informed of the 3:00 check in time, so getting in was a real hassle. The apartment itself is okay but very shabby, with creaky unfinished floors and seemingly half-completed paint jobs. There appeared to be no cleaning or other service done during the day, which made me wonder how they can call this "serviced." Another minor annoyance: an iron is provided but no iron. Why? Poor show with little to boast other than location, and not worth anywhere near £80 a night.

We arrived at our apartment expecting it to be bright just like the pictures, instead it was dull and bland the only nice room was the bedroom. Dirty windows, carpets, stains all over the sofa bed trying to be disguised by a throw, toaster didn't work, you couldn't turn on the hot water tap without the pipes sounding like they were going to explode. The reception on queen street was a good distance away and not very helpful. We had to ask twice for extra towels we only received 2 and there was 3 of us staying for 2 nights. Very basic accommodation for the price we paid

The pictures from the newtown apartments, look nothing like what the room actually was. While it was clean, there was a hole in the roof that leaked unto the carpet which made the room smell. I too, thought the location would be closer to the head office. The agent told me initially it was in the town's centre, but it is not! On reporting the leaking roof, they offered us another room. The only thing that concerned me about this other room was that it was on prepaid electricity and on the morning of check out was down to £0.05. Even though it is a budget accomodation, I expected better value and not to spend most of my time walking back and forth from the head office to the accomodation.

This was by no means a luxury apartment and if we had not desperately needed accommodation for the one night, we wouldn't have picked this place. Maybe we been expected more as elsewhere when we had paid the same price we had experienced so much better. For an just an apartment it was not cheap Staff told us it was just a 15 minute walk from the office. Maybe for 20 year old sprinter! No where to hang clothes and appears to be just getting somewhat run down. There is much better around for the price if you plan and book ahead.

Right where to start, we arrived at annendale street where we expected to pick up the keys however we were sent to queen street by a poster on the door. when we arrived jonathan (manager) was very abrupt to us telling us how we will be liable for any damages etc. when we got to the studio apartment we were unable to find our stated private parking! we rang up and they said there will be off road parking a minute walk away from the apartment, however, no parking was to be found! they said that there is no private parking and it did not say so on the website which was a lie! they expected us to pay £20 a day parking, then at 6:30pm to move the car onto yellow lines until 8:30am then move it again to pay a further £20 a day not impressed as it advertised private parking and also a photo of it on their website! we settled in anyway, then at 2:30am the boiler was making very loud disturbing noises for a few hours we eventually turned it off as we couldnt stick it no longer, then at 3:30-4:00am the whole building was shaking as a drunk roudy man entered the building he stormed up the stairs slamming all of the doors shouting and swearing and was typical he was next door to us! a glass or some sort was thrown at a wall me and my partner were shaken up and had to sleep with knives next to us! the following morning we went straight to the office they changed our room to the royal mile however up 95 spiral steps which we were expected to carry our suitcases up when we eventually got there we found people stayin in the same room! back down to the office we went after allready wasting a day of sightseeing they sent us to castlebank street which was situated in what i personally would class as the slums the duvet didnt even fit the quilt we went to sleep by the noise of banging music and woke up by drilling, however they did give us a 25% voucher for the living room restraunt witch was very nice .. how ever when our bill came they hadnt been informed of our discount and then only recieved 20% ..scottish aparntments really need to get some trained staff...go to edinburgh but not with them they are useless!!!!!!!!

You pay for what you get, no luxury, basic equipment but pleasant stay. Enough to have a shower and sleep since most of the day we were in the city centre. Kitchen included within the room which is a good alternative bearing in mind that having lunch or dinner is quite expensive in Edinburgh. The room was small, but enough for two people. The shower is very old and it makes some strange noises when having a shower with hot water. Poor curtains and from 6am onwards the light comes directly into the room and you can't sleep well. Poor cleanliness since it's an old apartment in an old building. Make sure you contact them before arrival since you have to collect the keys in a different address and this is not shown in the confirmation. Kind and friendly staff, though. Far away from city centre (30 min walking). You can find a Tesco at the corner and some nice pubs to drink a good Ale! Botanical Garden is just 10 min walking from Broughton Road.
