We came across 14 Hart St. due to a recommendation of another B&B in Edingburgh, which was full during our intended stay in Edinburgh. That was a very lucky circumstance,
because we really enjoyed our 2 night at 14 Hart St.
Already the pre-phase by email was very friendly and Angela and James gave us help already weeks before we arrived. The room was nice, clean, spacy with a brand-new luxurious bathroom and even a bottle of Whisky was in the room.
The breakfast was great and made by the very good and friendly Betty. When having breakfast in the dining-room, you really feel like a guest!
We will definitively come again!

My husband and I stayed at 14 Hart Street for 3 nights in mid-June as part of our trip to London and other cities of the UK. Angela and James are very nice, warm hosts and we are glad that we made the right choice. We started every day with an excellent full breakfast, so thanks to Betty. The room is very comfortable and spacious. We definitely recommend this guest house to anyone who plans to visit Edinburgh, the beautiful, historic capital city of Scotland.

We'd stayed at 14 Heart Street for four days (July 5 - 9), my kids, my husband, and I. Both our rooms are very well decorated and presents an elegant British accent. There, we could find daily a bottle of water, and Scotish shortbreads and tea. Linens are soft and the bed comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with a variety of options
from toasts to pancakes, plus
coffee, juice, milk, yogurt and
cereals. The free wi-fi connection works very well. The location is excellent, some 10 minutes walking to the Royal Mile. Also, there're many good restaurants
nearby. Angela and James are very
welcoming and educated. They helped us a lot, including booking a taxi to the airport in a Saturday early morning. Ah! We could choose the best time for us to have breakfast, what we did from 7:15 to 9:30, depending on ours needs, without any difficulty. We are more used to stay in hotels rather than in guest houses, but as we like to enjoy the city as much as possible, we thought that paying for a high quality hotel with a Spa or swimming pool seems not to be
worth it. 14 Heart Street was a
bright start for us in the world of guest houses. There, we felt as nobles paying just a little to have all the comfort and great services Angela and James offered us. When in Edinburgh again, we won't hesitate to book out stay at 14 Hart Street. By the way, Edinburgh is a lovely city, located in a fairy tale and 14 Hart Street can surely be your almost private chateau.

The rooms were clean and beautiful furnished. The owner decorated every room with love.
(The paintings, furniture, the christal glass....-very elegant and nice)
We were welcomed with tea, coffee shortbread and other beverage in our rooms
Angela and James, the owner and her helping hand Betty
were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast (full scottish if you like) was very good.
The b+b is next to New Town but in a very quiet street.
We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable house very much.

James and Angela are very gracious hosts who invite you into their home with grace and humor. Their in-town greystone townhouse is beautifully furnished ; their breakfast is both hearty and beautifully served. We stayed in two different rooms--one at the beginning of our trip and another at the end. Both ground level rooms were very comfortable with many amenities. All-in-all a delightful B & B with wonderful hosts and a great location.

We stayed at 14 Hart St for 4 nights in June. James and Angela are so friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. Our room was very tastefully decorated, as is the rest of the house, it is full of old world charcter and charm! The location is brillant, only a short stroll to Princess St. There are plenty of lovely restaurants and pubs very close by, Angela and James have some very good recommendations! All in all an excellent guesthouse in the centre of Edinburgh on a quiet street with no traffic noise, excellent breakfast cooked to your liking, lovely hosts who are so friendly and helpfull enjoyed every minute will be back!
