Stayed here for three nights whilst seeing friends from Edinburgh and going to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. A superb location for getting to both cities as there is a tram stop and railway station right outside. A little noisy if you need the windows open as we did (Scotland's only ever heat wave?) but if the window is closed and the climate control is in use you don't hear a sound. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Only ate here one evening but what we had was very nice, but maybe a little more on your plate might be nice, but we were very hungry that evening as we'd had a very busy day.
I have to say id be happy to return whilst visiting Scotland, maybe next time we'd get to use the lovely looking leisure centre and pool :-)

need to get better sausages and better cooked bacon etc as the low grade is obvious as the ones served are poor herb overpowered ones
also h.p. brown and heinz ketchup would be alot better than the vinegary cheep ones served in bowls and tasted horrible
i like a good scottish breakfast but could not face going for breakfast on second morning as knew what it would be like very dissapointing and not worth it

The only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating is because we were recommended to access the hotel
by tram from the airport which we did and it was easy but we bought a return ticket and then found out the trams don't run before 6am and our flight was at 7am which didn't leave enough time. This was a little annoying and waste of our money.

Getting a taxi back to the airport was easy and quick though.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had a view of the edinburgh castle which was nice.

Our toilet flush was not enough pressure so the toilet paper didn't flush away but this didn't cause us any issue really.

There are fast food options opposite the hotel, as well as a shopping centre within 2 minutes walk.

The train station and team station are also 2 minutes walk and trains into edinburgh are convenient and easy. They are also a cheap option just £3 return.

We got a train into glasgow aswell this was more expensive around £15pp for a return but was easy and took 50 minutes.

Stayed here for three nights - very easy access via tram from Edinburgh airport. Great access via train (or tram) to Edinburgh centre and via train to Glasgow centre. All staff very helpful and friendly. As always, Novotel rooms to a good standard and an excellent breakfast! Highly recommend for an out of town location with good public transport links.
