Lovely apartment with everything you could need, in excellent location. 5 minutes bus trip to centre of edinburgh. Bus services excellent. Lots to do on the doorstep also with the ocean terminal shopping centre and royal yacht brittania being only a 5 min walk. Teutchers bar definitely one to try for the haggis and whiskys.
This is the 3rd time in 3 years that I have stayed in this beautiful apartment. As other guests have confirmend the apartment is in a great loacation for restauants, attractions and the public transport system in Edinburgh is excelent. The booking process was and has always been easy in regard to response time from the owner with recieving the quote or questions during the booking and payment process and with final arrangements for keys, WIFI codes and information about the property and facilities.
The Cooperage is accessable from the airport with the Airport Bus Nbr 300 for GBP 4.50 (one way)
Staying in Edinburgh at this time of year (December) is a wonderful experience especially if you come from a part of the world where it's HOT at Christmas time.
As usual the apartment was clean and comfortable and good value for money for this time of year and had a few lovely decorations to give it that special Christmas feeling.
Great wee flat - value for money.
Easy access into City with numerous bus links located right on bridge.
The Cooperage was in a great location for our visit to Edinburgh. Situated on the Leith River with many restaurants, cafes and a supermarket nearby it really was an ideal spot. The bus stop was just across the road making it easy to get into the heart of the city. The Waters of Leith Walk was also an enjoyable day. Seeing Edinburgh from a totally different perspective.
The Cooperage apartment was an ideal size for a couple and had everything we needed. Parking was available which I am sure is difficult to provide in Edinburgh. It was also easy to visit other places out of Edinburgh without getting lost trying to get out of the city!
Drew was always prompt replying to our emails both in regard to booking and any questions we had. We really appreciated this.
Thank you , Drew for our lovely stay at The Cooperage! The flat is a perfect home base to explore Scotland , bus stop is only a few steps away from the flat and the grocery store is a short 5 minute walk ! We will be back!
Neat, clean, tidy and in a lovely old building with some nice helpful residents.
The apartment is small, but well proportioned and well planned, so that it never felt cramped. We had a lovely view of the Shore, with the sparkling river and the lights on the bridge. And the swans greeted us each morning. Everything we needed was provided, and there's a Sainsburys Local, and lots of lovely cafe's and bars within easy reach. My partner, our dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And the owner was at the end of the phone if we needed him. Great value for money - really hoping to book again for next year.
I agree with previous guests about the location and the great view but I think it's important to mention that Drew has fixed the place up so nicely with many little touches that makes it a real home away from home. Apart from your luggage, you don't need to take anything because it is all there. Amazingly quiet, even though the traffic is just across the river. Very warm and cosy. Stayed with my husband and we both loved it. Definitely would like to return sometime.
