Happened to spot these gardens at the end of a short passage as we were walking the Royal Mile. They are situated towards the Holyrood House end of the mile. Near the entrance once inside, there is notice board with the history of the gardens. A few seats scattered around allow a short rest from the hustle and bustle of the mile.

By chance, I found an amazing and quite adorable little park just next to the Royal Mile. Almost alone, I sat down listening only to the wind and the birds. Lovely!

a small garden along the Royal Mile, towards its lower end, hidden behind a small passage. a good place for a little rest on one of the benches, if you are lucky enough to have one of the few nice and sunny days in Scotland.

We would have never found this garden on our own, but were taken here as a stop on a walking tour. It was absolutely beautiful, just a block off the busy street and so quiet and serene. Several plants were blooming and the sun was shining - just gorgeous!

This is a nice and peaceful garden to chill out in close to the heart of the city. It's not very big but normally enough free benches to have a relaxing seat.
