Menu indicated nibbles but apparently not for those booking via a voucher. Didn't have chosen wine so offered an alternative rather than given the wine list back. Sardines were two small fillets - expected real Spanish grilled ones. Mains were fine - black pork v nice. Music was a nightmare - same songs on a never ending loop. Even the bill wasn't made up correctly....don't think well be back soon.

I would come here again for the langoustines. They were beutiful - worth coming here for alone! I also loved my suckling pig - really tender but with crispy skin and tasty roasted veg. I'd recommend the Zoe white wine - delicious though fairly expensive. Service was good and not at all overbearing. All in all much better than I expected from the reviews.

We went out for our friends birthday and were very much looking forward to our meal. We had booked through a voucher site. On arrival we were told they were running 15 min late and were shown through to the bar next door. This was fine and we were happy to go with the flow but after 40 mins, annoyed and feeling forgotten about I complained. I was told they were waiting for two tables to leave and there was very little they could do! At this point we were offered a free drink and promised that our table would soon be made available to us. Unfortunately after a full hour had passed we still hadn't been sat, so another complaint was made by the Birthday girl this time and after some more negotiations we were finally offered a table in the bar instead. We were given the restaurant menu and free starters and Main courses. When the the food came, it has to be said it was excellent! We paid slightly more than the bill that was presented to us because we felt the food warranted it but we left feeling disappointed at the overall experience.

We ate here using a high-life diners card, which was a good thing as without it our bill would have come to over £90. We both had a three-course meal, but were dissapointed with each course. The starters (prawns) were overcooked, the steak for main was spoilt by an overpowering anchovie butter and the accompanying potatoes were acrid. The puddings were tasteless. Added to this the wine was vastly overpriced, around £25 for the cheapest bottle and the service was very poor (it took 3hrs for the meal it total and food was returned to us that we complained about). All in all, there are far better places in Edinburgh to eat than this.

Myself and my partner went for dinner using a voucher deal. I find voucher deals a good opportunity to try restaurants that you might not normally think of going to. The food was lovely. Tasty and just a nice quantity. The staff were great & very helpful but not in your face. Nice atmosphere and a very nice evening. Good area for pubs afterwards if you want a drink and near the train station if you stay out of town. Would go back!
