After reading a number of excellent reviews, we got a takeaway from here to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered aubergine and fish starters, which had both gone rather soggy by the time they arrived (it wasn’t clear from the menu that they were fried, and so not really suitable for takeaway...).
The mains were slightly better - the lamb was beautifully cooked, but overall they weren’t up to the standard of other Indian meals we have ordered locally. Perfectly nice, but not spectacular. I was also particularly disappointed to get regular naan rather than the peshwari that we ordered. I don’t think we’ll bother coming back.

Sorry that you were disappointed with the starters and that you found them soggy. Unfortunately it is what happens with some items when they are for takeaway (they steam with the heat). We have updated our carry out menu sometime ago saying the Aubergine starter is fried (we will do it with the Fish kebab on both sit in and take away menu when we get more made soon.)

After a week in beautiful Scotland, we were hankering for and Indian meal. Visited Pataka on reading other reviews. Boy, are we glad we did! We were greeted warmly, food was excellent, service was thoughtful and attentive. We would go back again.

We had the Non-vegetarian Dinner for Two before and loved it. We came back, the selection was different but delicious all the same. Very friendly and entertaining waiters are the icing on the cake.
