“Ideal For A Short Edinburgh Break”
Reviewed 11 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We stayed for four nights as a pre-65th birthday treat, and it proved to be the ideal location for Edinburgh city centre, Waverley railway station and Trams. Nice, clean apartment, and one we would consider booking again at some stage in the future.

“Excellent value for money in great location”
Reviewed 31 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Thoroughly recommend this lovely spacious apartment in Edinburgh, set in the central and stunning district of Broughton. This was our first time in this lovely city and was a great base to explore the city from, whilst also providing a cosy and comfortable retreat in the evening. A stone's throw from nice restaurants and very close to the tram service for travel across Edinburgh and to the airport. If in the city again, I would look for this apartment straight away!

“Perfect, just what we needed”
Reviewed 20 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The apartment was everything we needed. We travelled with a toddler so appreciated the toys, highchair, cot, bath support etc. It's nice and central so we walked everywhere once we arrived via tram from the airport. Prosecco to welcome us, dvds/books, comfy beds, well equiped kitchen, some lovely restaurants within a 5 min walk. Can't fault a thing.

Note to the owner - the freezer needs defrosting and you could do with a couple more mugs & bowls, oh and perhaps consider a lock on the bathroom door... our toddler barged in several times!!

“Perfect apartment to explore Edinburgh and for any event at Mansfield Traquair.”
Reviewed 8 April 2016 for a stay in March 2015

Stayed here for 4 nights to explore Edinburgh and to attend a wedding at Mansfield Traquair.

The apartment is absolutely lovely and very well equipped for a small baby or young child - there is a cot, bottle steriliser, high chair etc and some books and toys so no need to lug a travel cot and loads of other baby paraphernalia along with you. Plus, the baby room is lovely and dark so no black out curtains required or early morning wake ups!

The only thing to bear in mind is that the apartment is down some steps so you either need to collapse your buggy and carry it down or have someone help. This wasn't a problem at all for us, I am just mentioning it as something to bear in mind if you have a young child with you.

5 of us stayed here - my husband, small baby and me, along with my sister and her partner and there was plenty of room for all of us - there is a fold out sofabed in the lounge as well as a single bed and cot in the children's room and a double bed in the bedroom.

This is the perfect location to explore Edinburgh - Princes Street / Waverley Station is just up the hill about a 10 minute walk away and there are plenty of restaurants and take aways etc locally.

Mansfield Traquair is about 20 meters away from the front door, so it is a brilliant apartment if you are attending a wedding or a function there.

The owner of the apartment is very helpful and responds very quickly to messages.

Would absolutely recommend this apartment and will be returning here when we come back to Edinburgh.

“Great location and tidy apartment...”

Liz the owner of the apartment was on holiday when we visited, but left everything ready for us and kept in contact to make sure all was well. The apartment is a great find - on the tram from the airport and get off at the last stop and walk down the hill; very easy journey.

The apartment is exactly as described on the review and in a good location, but remember Edinburgh is hilly - basically everywhere you will want will either be uphill on the way out or on the way back! However, there are bus stops at the end of the road to take you to most of the places you will want to visit if you need transport to get around.

If you have a young child with you there is a cot in the single room and toys too, but you should note that the single room does not have a window.

Kitchen has everything you would need to cook any meal and there's a microwave too if you should need it.

About a 20min walk into Princes Street (I walk quite slow due to the incline), similar in the other direction to the botanical gardens (downhill so I'm much quicker) which were a great find.

Lots of cafe's locally that do some great food, we went into town to a vegan restaurant called Hendersons which was a walk from the apartment, a real throw back to the 60's but some great food (I think it might be in the process of being refurbished. Also visited Mimi's Bakehose at Leith - wow what cakes, yum, yum.

I'd definitely stay here again if I was visiting Edinburgh, and to be honest feel much fitter for it!

A great apartment for a short stay in Edinburgh!
It was lovely to arrive to a welcome bottle of Prosecco and Chocolates!
A great location, just 5 mins walk from the centre of Edinburgh. A very cosy, well furnished apartment with comfy beds, would definately return. Even though it was so close to the center, the apartment is on a quiet road.
Thank you.

This was a lovely well kept apartment close to great restaurants. It was lovely and warm - we went on a very cold weekend-and well equipped. 3 of us stayed there while visiting for a 2 night break.
I hadn't appreciated how hilly Edinburgh is and there is an up hill walk to the train station which could be a challenge for an older or less fit person.
Lisa the owner was really helpful and quick replying to any queries. Lovely to have a bottle of wine and fudge to welcome us. Great value thanks.
