We recently spent 24 hours in Edinburgh, after some research we decided to book a table at The Grain Store for dinner. Hidden away on the first floor we really would not have stumbled across this restaurant. The staff and atmosphere are very warm and relaxed and although the menu is not the most extensive, it certainly is not lacking in variety. I always try to order something out of the ordinary and thus ordered the Roasted Grouse, which was absolutely fantastic. We would definitely recommend the restaurant for anyone, groups or couples alike. The food is fantastic, the prices are very reasonable and the friendly staff make the experience excellent. Book in advance in order to avoid disappointment.

Very good food and menus out of the ordinary. Service is ok but it could do with more lighting at dinner time when it gets pretty dark with dimmers turned down low. The type of food is reminiscent of French cuisine

We happened to walk past this place and notice the menu which drew us in. The staff are lovely, the food is gorgeous and the prices are very cheap! The best place we ate in :) I would recommend booking in advance as this place fills up quick and there's not many tables.

I had read many good reviews on the internet about this resturant, and I am happy to say, I was not disappointed. The service was great and we were greated at the door by a very friendly women. The food was also very good, perhapse not high or fine dining as a little more attention needs to be made to the other less key components in the meal. But at £12.50 for the two course or £15 for three, these minor indiscretions can be easily overlooked. Looking forward to going back for dinner at some point.

A lovely restaurant with a fantastic ambience, really nice lighting and a cosy feel. Its situated in a great location.
The food was absolutely fantastic, tastes that exploded on the tongue. Although the menu is not vast, it offers something for everyone, and uses only local in season produce.
Would definitely eat there again.
