Had the set lunch menu which for a Michelin star restaurant doesn't break the bank at £29.50 for 3 amazing courses! Of course extras and drinks are more than you'd pay elsewhere but the quality and service justifies this! Go on treat yourself... Book ahead though as it is very popular, so if you want a weekend booking you're looking at least a month unless you don't mind eating super early or late.
Thanks again to the staff for a great experience!

Simply put..... Best restaurant I have ever been to. And I don't say that lightly. I'm fortunate enough to eat quite regularly at the best (and most "famous") restaurants in London and around the world.... And The Kitchin beat them all hands down.

It felt completely authentic, unpretentious and uncontrived. The clientele was diverse, interesting and eclectic. People were there for the food and to have a lovely special evening. The staff were warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The design of the venue was interesting and individual, not "generic posh" or try-hard, from the decor to the staff uniforms to the menus, etc. By total fluke, we were lucky enough to get a table by the kitchen, where yuh can see Tom Kitchin at work through a big window.

But never mind all that. Let's talk about the food....

Most is sourced either from Scotland, Northern Ireland or north England (and they show you on a scrolled map). The food was out of this world. No point trying to explain - just go and find out. But do try the cheese board - the best I've ever experienced. Especially "Tunworth" cheese.

And then there's the wine list....

Visited The Kitchin on 16 Aug for a special birthday treat.
Have to say that we got everything we expected plus much much more.
The classic tasting menu was by a long way the best & tastiest food we have ever eaten.
The biggest surprise was the arrival of a birthday cake at the end of the meal.
Would recommend this to anyone who loves food.
Thanks Tom & all your excellent staff.
We will be back.

Enjoyed and excellent lunch at The Kitchin. It's lessformal during daytime which is nice but the quality of ingredients, flair, attention to detail and service are all still there. We have had dinner here many times and it never ceases to wow us. The occasional glimpse of Tom Kitchin during our visits helps to assure us that this is not his restaurant in name alone. He actually puts the hours in. A slight delay in bringing one of our dishes reduced an otherwise 5 stars to 4 for us on this occasion but in every other way this place is well worth the money.
