Had a lovely weekend in Edinburgh made more so by this beautiful guest house which is close to the city and all the attractions. Warm and welcoming host, luxurious bedroom and delicious breakfasts (try the porridge with whisky and honey)made staying here a pleasure. Highly recommend

Room Tip: I booked a room overlooking the garden and it was very peaceful. The owner tells me that all rooms...

This has to be one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in, fab room with an amazing shower, better than lots of hotels. lovely touches provided sherry and chocs wonderful, good wifi again free a wonderful breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with very tasteful decor, you must try the porridge with the malt. This was good value for money no extras added.

Four friends used this B&B last week and it suited our needs perfectly. Quality fixtures and fittings with great bedrooms. Breakfast was amazing and the friendly hostess made us feel right at home and she gave us a great deal for using all of the rooms. Some of the bathrooms are small so would recommend that you ask for the rooms with larger bathrooms (no baths / all showers). Sherry in the rooms is a nice touch. Just a few minutes walk from John Lewis and 10 minute walk into town made this ideally located for us. The owner was away whilst we were here and the constant beeping of the answerphone did keep 2 of our friends awake at night. Just a practical thing that could be easily resolved.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with one of the larger bathrooms

An excellent B&B which puts many hotels to shame! Very centrally located with nearby on-street parking, which is free at weekends. Lovely room with a very tasteful decor. The breakfast was extremely good, and there is plenty of choice and selection. But Jackie really made our stay the five-star experience it was. She was incredibly helpful, made us feel very welcome and clearly knows the city very well! Ben Cruachan definitely lives up to its tripadvisor status as one of the best places to stay in Edinburgh!

A great B&B only 10 minutes walk to Princes Street. The best porridge ever and the breakfast fruit platter is lovely if you want a healthier option. Comfy room, lovely bed and nice garden views. The sherry in the room is a great added touch. Edinburgh is a beautiful city and Jackie's B&B is a great choice. Jackie is a fantastic host, she clearly loves meeting people and welcomes guests into her home. We're already planning returning for the festival!

Living in a hot country my wife and I wanted a winter break in Scotland and so glad we found this B&B. Great stay! Jackie made us a hearty scottish breakfast before our short walk to the city attractions so close by and easy to get to. The bedroom was tasteful, my wife thought it was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the shower room large. Don't miss it we had a great time here and also in Edinburgh. Five star all the way more like a boutique hotel !

Room Tip: We had a Superior Double Room and it was excellent value. Garden views and quiet.

We came to Edinburgh for a couple of days as part of our Scottish Holiday and had never stayed in a B&B before. We were delighted to have found Ben Cruachan as we were warmly welcomed by Jackie who made us feel instantly at home. Our room was tastefully decorated, no corners cut here with a selection of teas and coffees, biscuits, sweets and we felt spoiled with the little decanter of sherry which was a welcome nightcap!.. The porridge with cream, whisky and honey is a must and the scottish breakfast was fresh and delicious. My partner opted for the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and I had food envy when I saw it !! The bed was very comfortable and it was great to wake up in the middle of a city to the birds chirping and a lovely view of the garden. Walking to the city centre took no more than 15 minutes and major attractions were easily accessible. We were able to park our car in the street opposite and never had to use it until we left. Thank you Ben Cruachan we recommend you highly and we will definitely be back on our next trip to your beautiful city and country.

Room Tip: we had room 5 and it was gorgeous with a large king bed and beautiful ensuite shower room.
