We visited Verdo for the first time this August and were treated like royalty. The restaurant was full but they looked after us anyway and the food was amazing and very plentiful. We could see it all being cooked and enjoy the delicious smells while we waited, and it was certainly worth waiting for.

Waited a while, finally well fed, but were double charged due to "problem with printout tape". Although they responded afterwards to an email, they did not help to sort out the problem and I had to revert to credit card company. So however good the food is, being charged twice without remedy is unacceptable. Sorry!

We visited here on a visit for the festival. I picked it based on the fact it was the #1 restaurant on trip advisor when I looked. Can't see how. While I can't argue with the fact that the staff are very friendly, the food was very mediocre. My falafel starter was very dry and tasteless and our mains were chicken and lamb on a stick. There are far better restaurants nearer to the city centre.

Went for a meal here on a day visit to the fringe. We were made to feel very welcome. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty and good value as we had two courses and a beer for £10.99 from the lunchtime menu. Would recommend this restaurant and will return when next in Edinburgh.

We arrived during the Fringe and sat down at around 21:30. Service was attentive and friendly but not over-bearing. We tried the excellent Turkish house red and beer.
The mixed starter for two was a great choice with warmed flat bread but was almost too much with the mains we then ordered...but we couldn't help ourselves.
