“Excellent and light fish and chips”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

We ate a lot of fish and chips during our stay in Scotland, and the one we had at Whiski's was by far the best: the batter was perfect and the peas and fries that came with it were well made. That, plus a great atmosphere and a great selection of beers on tap: we had a very nice dinner.

“Please learn how to cook a steak”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014 via mobile

We visited on the recommendation of a friend who reckoned he had had one of his best steaks. So yes it was tasty but if I ask for medium rare I mean medium rare not well done. I think they need to cut the steak thicker to ensure it's not over cooked. Great selection of Malts and nice to have local music.

What a meal, what a range of beer and whiskey!

Loved it.

Service with a smile (and from the most good looking waitresses I've ever seen :p)

Highly recommended.

“great night out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

whiski bar is on the Royal Mile near the North Bridge junction. The night we went there was a trad. folk group called The Gorms. They were brilliant and my wife , who's never experienced a "Scottish night", loved it. The lead singer introduced each song with a wee bit of banter and explained what the song was about before they got "lost" in the music. Was great to see three young folk so involved in their culture, fab. musicians and obviously enjoying it as much as the packed , whooping audience.
