This Place is just amazing. We were six ladies who stayed here and found the snug absolutely Perfect for us. The flat is stylish and convenient, the location is superb, and Andy the owner was dubbed Amazing Andy right away due to the Level of service. The flat is even more cozy and the decor even nicer than the photos reveal! The hallway has some uneven stairs, but other than that, this Place is Perfect! We will be back!
We came to see the Tattoo and so glad that we chose to stay at the William Street Snug. Stylish, roomy 3 bedroom apartment which housed our 3 generations of family very comfortably.
So close to bus stops, trams, Haymarket train station. Supermarkets, coffee, lunch, pharmacy all close. The wonderful Teuchters Pub opposite for a drink at the end of the day and quick, delicious pub meals. Paper Tiger is a lovely shop around the corner that has beautiful gifts.
Andy is a wonderful host. Flowers, chocolates & champagne on arrival a lovely welcome. Andy gave great recommendations for Fringe festival. We went to two shows and loved them. The Tattoo was a highlight and definitely worth joining Friends of Tattoo so you can do the Backstage Tour. Tattoo fireworks were visible from the Snug lounge room.
We all want to return to Edinburgh as we had such a wonderful time and a large part of that was because of the William Street Snug. We will be staying here when we come back. August in Edinburgh is fantastic!
My family and I were delighted with this apartment for so many reasons! Because it is located just a few blocks from Princes Street, we were able to walk to all of the sites we wanted to explore in the city. Even getting to the train station to visit St. Andrews was simple because it was just a short walk from the SNUG! In addition, there were great pubs offering excellent food and a cool vibe just steps from the front door, as well several good coffee shops. That made everyone happy! The apartment itself is very well appointed, charmingly decorated, and definitely very comfortable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the host's effort to make sure we had everything we needed.
Beautifully appointed apartment and the rooms were very spacious. Perfect for our family of 5.
Andy, the owner, was incredibly responsive. And prior to arriving, he gave numerous recommendations for restaurants which came in handy. We tried a few of his suggestions and they were terrific.
Our party of 3 friends recently spent 5 nights at this beautifully decorated, well-equipped, comfortable and charming flat. The location is perfect as a base to enjoy beautiful Edinburgh--an easy walk to Princes St., markets, and a tram stop. Located on a quiet side street, but with bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep (no disturbance from the pubs, however). We especially enjoyed Teuchters across the street--good food, good beer and a friendly staff. Andy was an absolute pleasure to deal with--very friendly and helpful, and always available to answer questions. The welcome pack of provisions and the list of restaurants Andy provided were greatly appreciated. We would recommend this flat without hesitation!
Spend 3 nights in this well equipped comfortable apartment which proved to be as pretty as seen on adverts. The location of apartment was near to tram stop which made transfer from airport very easy. Access to apartment had been fully explained by Andy and worked well. Whilst Andy was always contactable during our stay we did not need to contact him. We met a number of locals were very friendly and helpful; even bumped into a few actors...!
Only downside was the weather which had become considerably cooler however, the apartment was warm and well equipped for all weathers. Overall we had a very enjoyable break in Edinburgh and would recommend visiting the Royal Britannia yacht, bus stop not far from apartment. Would definitely stay here again.
The apartment is beautifully furnished and so comfortable including a fabulous bathroom with a very grand bath and double shower. It is in a perfect location with a never ending supply of bars and restaurants, two perfect examples being Teuchters and Voyage of Buck in very close proximity for fantastic food and drinks and lovely staff. Also a very short walk to Princes Street leading onto the Royal Mile. Andy the owner couldn't be more helpful providing endless suggestions of places to visit and pubs and restaurants to sample. We had the best holiday to celebrate my daughter's 21st in a very beautiful city and we will definitely be back!!
