1st time we have attended the Tattoo and it was excellent.
We were their on the 10th August 1st show it was amazing even though the weather did turn at 8pm the entertainment didn't stop the rain was torrential but they just kept on going.

Hint take a poncho it did keep us dry during the tattoo but by the time we got back to the hotel we were drenched but it didn't spoil the evening. So much so we are booking next year

I was brought to tears by the pipers. It is a spectacle not to be missed if you’re in Edinburgh at tattoo time. Powerful performances all around. There was quite the variety of performers from all over the world and the show went on for about an hour and a half.

The show is held outside and depending where you are sitting in the stands it can be fairly windy and cool, so dress for the weather. While we had decent weather we were told that the tattoo goes on rain or shine, so water gear may be essential. Truly a sight to see. If you’re debating when to visit Scotland I would highly consider to work your vacation around the tattoo.

Quite the show. Outstanding performance by military bands from far and wide. A great variety of music and modern for all tastes.

It's always worth seeing the Tattoo if you're in Edinburgh during August. As ever, this year's show was a fantastic spectacle with performers from all over the world putting on an immaculate show. Who can fail to be moved by the sound of the massed pipe bands as they march into the arena in perfect unison with their kilts swinging!

We were blessed with a fine night and clear skies which made it ever better.

My wife has some mobility problems and we had booked our tickets over the phone explaining this. I would like to add that the help and assistance they gave were excellent. They emailed us a day or two before we went to say where to go and they let us in through the barriers so that we didn't have to queue. They then took my wife's travelator and stored it away and it was promptly delivered back to us at the end. Such a relief for my wife and meant she enjoyed the evening to it's fullest extent.
