My Fiancée and I stayed for one night whilst attending a wedding nearby.

It wasn’t the cheapest Travelodge night we’ve had; we paid £73 (including Travelodge’s £10 early check-in). But it was the 700th Anniversary of The Battle of Bannockburn so the area was pretty busy and prices seemed a little inflated.

The hotel is very convenient and short drive from the M9 and the car park is spacious and in a good state of repair.

Check-in was straight forward, we had to ring the bell for a member of staff to appear, but when he did Tony checked us in quickly and was exceptionally friendly and polite. We asked if he could provide a taxi number and he took care of it and booked it for us.

The hotel is relatively new so still in good order, the room was clean for the most part, spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was soap and shower gel in dispensers in the bathroom, which was immaculate. Only downside on cleanliness was a small gathering of dead flies and moths between the windows and secondary glazing – this could easily be cleaned and was clearly over looked.

We were in room 214 which looked onto the M9, but with double glazed windows and additional secondary glazing you could barely hear the traffic. Sleep quality was good, there was some noise to be heard from other guests and cleaners in the morning, but you can’t expect noise-proof rooms in a Travelodge.

I didn't have breakfast so I can’t comment on any aspect of this.

I would stay here again if I needed a hotel in the area.

If you are visiting Edinburgh this offers a low cost option but be aware that although the rooms are of a good standard there is nothing else on offer. "Breakfast in a Box"? No thanks! Local bar/restaurant is a walk away for an evening meal or breakfast at a reasonable cost but is no great shakes.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a concert at Falkirk stadium from the 20th to the 21st the first room we were given looked onto the main road and it was so hot that weekend the windows had to be left open which was not good at all for the noise from the road I went down and asked if we could get another room on the opposite side of the building away from the main road it was no problem as the Travelodge was not full that night we got shifted right away which was a lot quieter on that side of the building the room it self was clean and the bed was excellent for a good nights sleep it was ample for out 2 night stay.
thank you Travelodge

Stayed here on Friday night 20th June 2014, room 101. Room was spotless clean, bed was a great size and very comfortable. Bathroom again spotless, with bath and overhead shower. Staff on reception very friendly and welcoming which always makes such a difference to staying anywhere. Plenty of car parking spaces and a lovely restaurant just two minutes up the road. Would recommend to anyone looking for cheap, but comfortable accommodation.

Room Tip: We where in room 101, looking onto the car park, couldn't hear a thing during the night, so don...

Overall another pleasant stay in a Travelodge. But if they offer you room 106 be prepared for a stiff neck trying to watch a TV which is mounted too high on the wall and is non-adjustable. The staff particular Claire were friendly and welcoming, Perfect for visiting the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies (which are amazing).

Ample parking at this recently refurbished establishment.
The Hotel and Restaurant a short walk across the car park offers excellent food all day and up to 9.30pm. You cannot beat three courses for £10 !

We travelled to Falkirk from Oxford for a few days to visit family and normally stay at the Premier Inn Falkirk North however due to the Premier Inn being fully booked we reluctantly book the Travelodge as past experience of Travelodge has not been great. What a pleasant surprise the Falkirk Hotel was! Firstly the receptionist Tony was a most jovial, friendly and helpful chap. He was happy to do the usual such as advise on restaurants etc but it's difficult to explain how welcoming he was. He was funny, friendly and just what we needed after a long journey! Nothing was a hassle. The room was basic, as they generally all are but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was basic again but clean. I needed a hair dryer and wasn't aware they do not provide them in the rooms but a quick trip to reception and they were happy to lend me one! Tip, get a room overlooking the car park if you can as it backs right on to the motorway. We were too tired to notice the traffic to let it bother us however it could be heard!! Plenty of parking albeit a dumped car in the car park! Vending machine available for snacks and soft drinks in reception as no local shop walkable. All in all a pleasant stay.
