After reading some of the other reviews i really dont know what people expect.
from moaning about paying £3 pound for parking and not getting a ticket to bad weather ,do they think the bad weather was especially aranged for them. some people need to think a bit before writting a review or may be they just like to find fault.
My wife and i stopped off on the way back to Essex and were amazed at watching the wheel at work it is truley an amazing peice of engineering it was just a shame we did not have time to go and see the full size kelpies
This is a feat of modern engineering that Telford himself would have admired. Superb staff handling the locks and guiding you through the passage of the wheel. The whole set up is superb and caters for locals and internationals alike.
We'd heard that this was the only wheel of this kind in the world, and it is amazing. The boat trip lasted about 45 minutes in total and was worth the money. Staff try hard to make the experience fun on the boat, but it could be so much better. The cafe and tourist shop are ok, but the seating area could be cleaner. As with many fantastic places in Scotland, there is potential to make it even better with investment.
Very impressive structure. Well worth seeing.Would be even better if they had a museum or exhibition telling more of the history.
