This is my second visit to Gratzi. Went here with my fiancee for lunch recently having previously enjoyed a meal in the evening with family. Ordered from the three course festive menu (£11.95) and the food was excellent. Of particular note was the smoked haddock with champ which, had I paid £25 for alone, would still have been worth every penny.
The atmosphere in Gratzi is relaxed and the service friendly. We felt a little under dressed as we were wearing wellies due to the arctic conditions outside and hadn`t been planning to have lunch. We need not have worried though as this is a very unpretentious place, although with the standard of some of the food served here a little pretentiousness would be more than justified!
Having tried a number of tapas dishes on my previous visit to Grazi I cant wait to come back for more. Most impressive was the chorizo which was amazingly tender, not like the usual chunks of car tyre.
It`s great Dunfermline has a place as good as this at a time when many of the usual suspects seem to be resting on their laurels. A welcome alternative to a curry and beer!
