“New Chef, Owner and Menu. Excellent Meal and Service”
Reviewed 28 April 2013

The Inn@Carnock has obviously changed hands and chef. Just had an amazing 3 course meal with salmond starter, haddock main and cherry walnut brownie dessert. My wife had the salmond, a lamb roast and the creme brulee with berry coulis. Each plate was presented really well and had a nice balance of flavours. All for under £55 for 2. If you have ben in the past and were not happy go again the new owner is obviously pationate about food and the clients and his chef is amazing.

Reviewed 20 April 2013

Sunday 14th shopping for a new suite ! driving to tillicoultry we came across a charming Inn from the outside very welcoming all six of us agreed to try it out where we were greeted by a very attractive young girl who showed us to our seat where we all were surprised how modern and chic the restaurant was. A lovely fire with comfy chairs too,! we were all looking for quite different things to eat that day from mac and cheese, crab cakes and of course a good sunday roast we were not dissapointed ,all lsix clearly loved it the food was amazing and not only that the staff were very attentive very polite and even turned down the fire at the right time. we will be back this weekend . its well worth a drive to Carnock.

“Excellent country Inn.”
Reviewed 10 April 2013

Visited the Carnock Inn on 6th April with my partner and our two children. Great character and ambience. Excellent red wine reasonably priced. Warm welcome and excellent service from the new owners. Starter of deep fried haggis in whisky sauce, 2 portions shared between 4. Highly recommended. Rib eye steaks for under £10! Perfectly cooked medium with fiery pepper sauce. Children enjoyed their homemade lasagne and macaroni cheese. Nicely presented desserts and excellent coffee to finish. Will return often.

“Nice atmosphere shame about the food.”
Reviewed 2 April 2013 via mobile

We had a chicken club sandwhich, and a steak sandwich, on pan loaf bread as they'd run out of ciabatta.... Asdas anyone? The chicken looked ok but the 'steak' was obviously the scrag ends off a better cut, inedible due to grissle I left it on the side... Huge amount of onion marmalade, chips were obviously frozen. Staff seemed nice.
