“Reasonable pub food at entrance to Pittencrieff Park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2011

Decent pub food at a fair price in a pub that caters for families, sports fans and those just in for a drink.

The family area is to one side of the bar and has a mix of table sizes to suit different groups. Menu has a variety of options at reasonable prices. The quality of the food is good against the price point.

There are TVs distributed throughout the pub for the sports fans, including a small number of booths with their own screen which are good for groups.

In a convenient location for a visit to Dunfermline Abbey and/or Pittencrieff Park.

“Good pub food on Sunday night in Dunfermline.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2011

After having a late lunch we wanted to eat late and found that the restaurants we had chosen shut at 6pm and 8pm on Sundays. We headed into central Dunfermline to find "The Seven Kings" after checking by phone and being told that they served food until 9pm and had plenty of tables. It had a busy, noisy atmosphere (Mum had to turn down her hearing aids),but we became used to that and enjoyed seeing the portraits of the seven Scottish kings on the wall behind us. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was delicious. We thought it was good value and would recommend it.

“Terrible staff”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2011

The waitress that brought our drinks brought one the wrong size. She had given our drink to another table. When we told her, to our disbelief she went to the other table collected the other drink and swapped the straws.

She was surprised and huffy when we asked for a fresh drink! We couldn't believe it.

“OK food in Dunfermline”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 May 2011

Wetherspoon-style pub: family friendly, food is quality is passable, poor choice for veggies.
Saying that, at certain times you may be forced to go there, as no other places are open/suit your budget/you don't really want to go to mcdonalds again.
