“deep below the City Hotel Car Park...”
Reviewed 3 May 2013

Everyone who lives in Dunfermline seems to eventually visit this atttraction. And it is quite quirky. The actual attraction is a religious grotto frequented by Queen Margaret and would have been lost except for some very inventive engineering which has maintained access even after the original gorge was upfilled to create the city car park.
The trip down the tunnel is probably more exciting than the actual grotto. We should probably do a similar thing with Tesco's city centre development. But not bother with the tunnel.

“Cave visit”
Reviewed 12 April 2013

A small, but highly interesting historic cave. A must to visit if you are in Dunfermline, but be prepared for a lot of stairs

“An unexpected hidden treasure!”
Reviewed 15 January 2013

Was new to the area, took a short cut through the car park and found this unexpectedly in the far corner. Decided to explore and what a find! Well worth the climb back up. A definite 'worth while' short visit!

“Fascinating”
Reviewed 5 December 2012

If you don't mind a long walk down many stairs, this place takes you back centuries, to the era of King Malcolm Canmore and the saintly Queen Margaret.
