“Feel Ripped Off ”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 via mobile

Visited the Glen Tavern a few weeks ago. Food was reasonable and was encouraged to purchase a loyalty card (£2) which offered a number of benefits including 50% off on Saturdays. So my wife and myself went for a lunch this Saturday to use the benefits of my loyalty card. We ordered the items marked as as 50% off and enjoyed our meal.

When we went to pay we found out that 50% Saturday discount was discontinued, although the staff were unsure when this change had been made, but could get 10% off. I now know why the place was empty except staff, who were very good.

Won't be back.

“Pensioner meals till 9 p.m.”
Reviewed 16 March 2014

Went the other night with 5 friends. Had a really good night. I asked for a small portion of haggis neeps and tatties and when it came it was enormous. Really good though but far too much for me. Everyone enjoyed their meals and two of them had the fish tea which they said was really good. They are in the process of changing their menu. The pensioner meals now go on till 9p.m. You now buy a pensioner card which you buy for one pound. Not exactly sure how it works but you pay full price the first time and then get for half price the next time, but card let's you have pensioner meals up till 9 p.m. Will definitely be back.
