Stayed for 2 nights on business. Stay was mixed. Room ok if slightly dated. Mark on reception was great very helpful. Room service menu basic but good value. Restaurant expensive. Public Bar was for drinkers and not really for relaxing. Breakfast okay but service not the best or attentive. Probably wont be back as better places to stay.

The hotel itself is ok, but the bar what poor service, went to the bar in Dunfermline Scotland to watch the Scotland game and what was on but the England game, when we asked if the Scotland game could be shown we were told if we caused a problem he would switch the TV off. What a disgrace to not show a Scottish game in a Scottish pub, would this happen in England? ofcourse not!!!! Oh and what nationality was the barman yes English turf out paying guests so he can watch his Own team, poor attitude and poor service.

Lunch Menu - good variety and Evening Meal looked great (must go back for evening meal next time);
Service - seated promptly, served promptly, staff remembered our order (no notepad and pen), food tasted delicious and presently very nicely;
Location - in the conservatory, very calming and relaxing;
Internet - free, keep our daughter very entertained while we relaxed after our meal;

Would definately go back, well done King Malcolm, great service as always and with a nice smile.

We visited King Malcolm after driving all day and needing a place to stay without a reservation. We were able to obtain two rooms that were basic and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We also met some great people at the nearby attached pub during the Scotland vs. England football game as well.

After an extremely long day we arrived at he hotel and they had given us a twin room instead of a double, I went to reception to ask to be changed and the woman on reception didn't apologise and proceeded to huff and change the room. The new room was a double but only had one towel so I rang reception to ask for another and again NO apology! Web had dinner in the hotel and the food was awful! Completely tasteless and exceedingly expensive for what it was! When you pay £16 each for a main course u don't expect to have to lace it with salt and pepper so it has at least some taste! The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable but the service is appalling and quite frankly the staff are ignorant! I won't be staying here again!

I travel all over the world with my work. This hotel was shocking! They tried to fob us off with single beds when we booked double! Showers were cold! Rooms 80s decor very dated! Sheets were a grey brown colour not white! Breakfast staff rude spoken and treated like school children! One day we had a full menu and next told help yourself to all they could be bothered to put out! Rudely told i couldnt have a full english as i was in scotland! Shocking place and all for £107 per night inc breakfast! Terrible place!

Enjoyed a 2 night stay. staff v friendly & helpful especially man on reception. We were given a free upgrade to an executive room Which was very clean with a comfortable bed. Bathroom fine with an excellent shower. Had breakfast each morning which was very nice especially the fried bread!!! Would recommend.
