On a visit to the Truckmania show held by the Scottish Trucker club I took in a visit to the Bus Museum.Staff were very helpful on explaining the exhibits and it brought a real lot of memories back over my 60 years.A nice cup of tea and a bacon roll went down very well with the chat at the cafe.Strongly would recommend a visit in June 14 when both attractions will be on again.Donald Johnston Stirling.

Had a fantastic afternoon here, I came to visit the museum hoping to see a Double Decker bus that members of the museum recently acquired from Australia. Members went out of their way to show me the bus, then gave me a very informative tour. This museum's attention to detail and dedication to vehicles from the local area is fantastic. Trips were offered by double decker to Dunfermline as well. A great afternoon out, A+++++

We've been members of the museum for 2 years, due to our sons love of buses.
The museum is open every Sunday from easter until the last week of September, and entry is very reasonably priced, as is membership.
There is a vast number of buses on display, some undergoing restoration on site, and hourly guided tours of the various bus sheds within the museum grounds, with rides on some of the vintage buses around the site.
The staff are all volunteers and are both welcoming and friendly, as well as knowledgeable and helpful.
This museum is a great afternoon out, especially if you can make it to one of the "open days".
Re previous complaints about pricing of refreshments, these were catering stalls at an open day, and not part of the museum facilities. Catering was available in the main museum exhibition hall, as well as the running shed/stalls shed at extremely reasonable prices.
Google SVBM to find the museum website, where more information is available.

reading the review of robert f . the whole museum is run by volunteers, who are happy to help and answer your questions if you go and ask them.as for the prices you mentioned this must be made clear that the museum has no control over the prices the mobile catering vans take .there is a cafe in the exhibition hall which has filled rolls and the cost is £1.80p per roll and tea and coffee is very reasonable at 80p and 90p. the cafe. prices are kept reasonable throughout the season. march to sep.The parking on open days is run by the scouts who are there to make sure you go the right way and park properly so that cars are safely parked for public safety as well as yours.
