We really enjoyed a lunch here recently; great food, great price - thank you. Service equally great, don't know why it doesn't rate higher really.

This is far from my first review of this wonderful restaurant but, after my latest trip I feel it's only right to try and once again get over just how good the dining experience is here.

This time it was a lunch for 2 and once again the food did not disappoint. Been a while since we had been but just one taste of the food and we remembered everything that is to like about here !

Service is always prompt and courteous - Ram is doing such a good job here - and the food was as hot, tasty and fresh as ever.

I honestly don't recognize the place described in the previous review and am always suspicious of a person with just one review and for purely negative purposes.

It's a genuine travesty that Ashiq's is not the Number 1 restaurant in Dunfermline as all the ones I have tried above it are very much inferior to here.

As before there is only the one change I would make and that would be to make the decor a little more 'warm' as, being mostly light shades of blue, it can sometimes feel a little cold.

However, that should not detract from the main point of a restaurant - i.e. the food. Here Ashiq's wins hands down.

Went on a normal night and didnt realise how small the place was.
Could do with a refurb to get on par with others but it certainly has a traditional feel to it.
Our portions were a good size, the pakoras were not for me but i enjoyed the chicken wings as well as the curry. Nan was good and rice was expected.
I left feeling full and happy but not thinking WOW.
Will try again a few months down the line.

This is without a doubt the best Indian cuisine in Fife.Every dish is cooked to perfection and the chefs will go the extra mile to prepare something you ask for, that is not on the menu.
Coupled with service from the staff and the hard working and friendly attitude of Ram and Babar, the owners, its a Saturday night delight every week!
We like to feel valued and respected when out dining ,the male staff,Paisley and Ousa certainly provide that.
A great team and one you should be proud of....keep up the exceptional standards.
See you next week.....

Went to this restaurant today for the buffet meal at £9.95. It was advertised as being available from 4.30 which is the time we arrived. Were brought poppadoms and chutney/spicy onions then a huge selection of pakora (mushroom/chicken/vegetable) tandoori chicken and chicken chaat. The waiter then explained the actual buffet wasn't available due to it being early and they were expecting a large party in at eight and didn't want the food sitting out too long on the buffet table but asked what we would like. We took two different lamb dishes with rice an naan. The whole meal was delicious and excellent value at £20 for all this food. Service was very good too. Would definitely recommend :)
