Rooms @29 Bruce St. is in the city center but as such it does not have its own car park. Car park is free between 6:00pm until 8:00am. Evening Food is reasonably OK, breakfast is a mixture of a limited buffet where you warm up your own toast and hot food you order. Hotel environment is quite friendly with excellent service. Rooms are quite spacious with most usual amenities but the bed was not so very comfortable. Quite a pleasant stay overall.

Room Tip: My room was looking at the parking at the back of the hotel, it was alright

myself and my wife stayed there for one night (Friday) as we were going to a show in the carnagie halls on arrival everything seemed ok at first when we went up to our room I noticed the bathroom light was broken we reported it and it still wasn't repaired by the time we left on the Saturday .when we got back to the hotel on Friday night the staff were treating someone who had been hit with a bottle by someone from the night club attached to the hotel and once the place had went quiet at 3.30 in the morning we still could not sleep as there is a air conditing units outside the window on the roof of the club and they ran all night and the matarres was to soft you could feel the springs inside it .in the morning my wife went to use the hairdryer she noticed two bare wires sticking out of a socket in the wall we told the staff and they didn't seem bothered about it .the food (breakfast) was ok nothing special.the room was pretty clean but if you looked a the edges werethe wall and floor meet the cleaners seem to forget to clean them it was the same through out the hotel ie: corridors ,the bar, rooms, its as though they just wipe the tiles with a damp mop and miss the corners I wont be going back

Room Tip: if you want a good room and a good sleep try another hotel

We appreciate your review however we are disappointed regarding the lack of factual comments.
With regards to the ‘male that was bottled’ this specific situation was not related to our premises at all and the general manager being a trained first aider had given assistance to a male passer-by with a head injury and brought him to our premises to ensure his safety and wellbeing were paramount while contacting an ambulance.
We are disappointed that you failed to notice this.

Stayed here on Sat night with my boyfriend and 2 friends visiting from England. Perfect for us as everything was right on our doorstep for a night out with friends.

Reception staff were very friendly rooms were spotless and beds super comfy all with decent tea and coffee in the room. Never heard any noise from the club outside when i got into our room but to be fair i'd had a few so wouldn't really have noticed! Really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning especially the gallon of orange juice to help my hangover!

Paid £69 for a room on the Sat night which is more than i was planning on spending but was worth it in the end :)

Stayed here last minute and I was looking for somewhere adequate to lay my head for the night but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. I usually stay in 4 or 5* hotels and I can tell you that I have stayed in worse 4* hotels than this. The rooms were spotless and the room was really big and modern. The bed was queen sized and comfy. Reception staff were very helpful and accommodating as well. Breakfast was lovely with all you would expect. We did stay at the weekend and I had read the reviews about the nite club next door. It didn't bother me but my sister couldn't sleep with the noise, suppose it depends on how light a sleeper you are. Room was excellent value at £50 per night per room including breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I was aware that there was a nightclub next door and that 'some' noise may be experienced Thursday - Saturday - 'some' !!!!!!! - lots of noise - I could have had a party in our room using the music from the club. Once the music stopped at 3.00, sleeping wasn't easy - a huge gap under the door allowed light to stream into the room - I'm not sure of the fire safety aspect of not having a door which would shut out any smoke or flames should a fire occur. Also the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept on in a hotel. It was one of those beds which can convert from a king to 2 twins (fairly normal practice nowadays) - only these were 2 different heights (a couple of inches different) - to counteract that a mattress topper was placed over the centre of the beds (though not to the edges) - this meant that there was actually 4 different levels on the surface of the bed - very uncomfortable. My husband and I were really tired and wished that we had actually driven home after attending a concert at the Alhambra, instead of 'treating' ourselves to a night in a hotel.
A poor night's sleep was sort of compensated by a fairly decent breakfast served by a lovely young lass. Definitely would not stay again.
I do think that the weekend rates should be discounted due to the noise from the club.

Stayed here at the end of August for three nights at the start of our little tour around Scotland. Due to all the one-way streets in this part of Dunfermline it was difficult to find the front of the hotel, but we eventually did, dropped off our bags, and parked in the car park around the back (there are stairs up round to the front).

The room and ensuite bathroom were both clean, well decorated, and reasonably sized. The room had a flat screen TV and a wall mounted air conditioning unit. The bed was comfortable and there was quite a good shower mounted over the bath.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Albertos restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices and there was a well-stocked bar.

The hotel is well located in the old part of Dunfermline, with a very short stroll down the quaint streets taking you to the High Street, the park, or the Abbey. There are many pubs and restaurants around the locality to choose from, and as the weather was quite pleasant during our visit, we were mostly out and about.

Dunfermline is a wonderful little town for a short break, and I don’t think you can go wrong by choosing Rooms at 29 Bruce Street as your place to stay. We were certainly not disappointed and would easily choose to stay here again.
