Stayed here with 3 other friends on a trip to Kirkcaldy for a football match. I was in a single room which had every thing you could wish for - en-suite shower, TV, refreshments/kettle, hairdryer, hangers, and drawers for storage, and dressing table with mirror for the ladies.

Only minor quibbles I had in the room itself was the shower took a couple of minutes before the hot water kicked-in and the pillows could have been a bit softer. Apart from that, it was spotlessly clean and well appointed.

The breakfast was absolutely superb. Big oval plate full of traditional English - 2 tasty sausages, egg (choice), mushrooms, 2 rashers of bacon, black pudding, tomato and beans, with added haggis pudding/fritter for the Scottish touch.

Never used the bar or ate there as only stayed 1 night, but if staying in this location again, would look this place up first. 5 minutes walk from station and town centre.

A warm welcome and real concern if you have a problem (personal). Great breakfasts and good choice. I have taken High Tea and Supper there before and these are exceptional. Double room I had before was great. Single room I had this time was small and very basic but had all I needed. Needs a makeover but was clean.

Room Tip: No lift do not take heavy luggage as fire doors and stairs to contend with

Family lunch on the spur of the moment. We live in the town so know the venue. The food was excellent and good value. What made the visit even better was the attitude and professionalism of the staff. It seemed that nothing would be too much trouble. Both men were immaculately turned out and friendly.
An example that other hotels should look at. Ten out of ten for the staff and chef.

Stayed for 1 night on business. The bedroom was so hot with radiators full on that they had opened the window! After calling Reception radiators were turned off. I ordered room service dinner from the a la carte. This was the toughest and boniest sea bass fillets I've ever had. The oriental dressing was too vinegary and the vegetables apart from potatoes too Al dente. Room service breakfast brought rubbery scrambled egg (over microwaved?) It's a great pity that the food let this hotel down. The room - once the temperature was sorted - was very nice if a little twee. The staff were exceptionally helpful.

Had a high tea here and I must admit it was second to none. The service was quick and efficient and very polite. The actual meal was very good and plenty of it,and if you asked to take a part of your meal home that you couldn't eat you could get a doggy bag.

Having travelled from southern England for a family wedding, we arrived to a very warm welcome from the staff. We stayed for two nights and although the meals were great and the ambiance great it was ruined by the fact that our double room was claustrophobic and cramped. The wedding was fantastic and again the staff pulled out all the stops to ensure we had a memorable day. The only down side was having to get changed in shifts to ensure we did not get in each others way.
Apart from that a lovely venue.

Our daughter Jacqueline and son in law Casey chose this hotel to have their wedding in on 10/5/14 .It was the most fantastic day, the staff and the service were excellent. Carole and Brian could not have done for us.The food was excellent and the waiting staff did a brilliant job.The hotel its self was beautifully presented as were the bedrooms.
I cant thank them enough for making the day so special for every one.
Thankyou
Irene & John Jones
