Stayed a night on a driving tour through Scotland and really appreciated the lovely warm room and comfy bed. Especially considering the less than ideal weather conditions outside! Hope to stay longer next time as the service and accommodation were first class.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in May to visit our daughter who is attending the University there. We had never stayed at a guest house before and were pleasantly surprised at the accomodations. The owners were very helpful and even allowed our daughter to join us for breakfast each morning before we began our sightseeing. Will definitely want to stay there in November if we return for graduation.

Have just returned from a 3 night stay in St Andrews staying at The Montague. We have to say my wife and I cannot fault this accomodation at all. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The beds massive and SO comfortable!! The owners really do make you feel at home and the food is gorgeous.

The accomodation is in a perfect location. 5 minutes walk to the town centre. 5 minutes walk to the 18th green on the Old Course and 10 minutes walk to the New, Jubilee, and Eden courses. Given that the purpose of the trip was for me to play the Old Course we could not have wished for a better location. Trip made even better when you get perfect weather on the day you play and shoot a 78!!

Dining at night we would recommend Ziggys (just round the corner from the Montague) and Little Italy. Plenty of golf shops as you`d expect and if you go for a drink in Golf Place you can share the banter with some of the caddies. Made sure I let them know I shot a 78!!

Overall, a fantastic break and would not hesitate to go back to, and recommend, The Montague.

Oh, did I tell you I shot a 78 on the Old Course?!! Golfing heaven!!

We have stayed here twice, and have been welcomed like family both times! The owners (Gillian & Andrew) cannot do enough to make your stay a most enjoyable one. They are very knowledgeable about the area, and ready to help in any way possible. Andrew is a chef & the breakfasts are second-to-none. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Above Average Quality accommodation. Rooms renovated, clean and roomy and quiet. Owners very helpful. Even arranged a very early breakfast to give us a great start on the Old Course. Would return at the drop of a hat. Each room had its own bathroom. Very centrally located. You can carry your Golf Bag to the Starters Box at the Old Course - you are that close 7 min walk.

1st my thanks goes to Gillie and Andrew for all the work they do to make this "spot" so inviting,
comfortable, delicious, luxurious (Scotish style) and quiet. The linens, table cloths, food and most importantly comfortable devine beds and linens. Great pillows, ultra clean throughout
and good storage space, spacious rooms (2 of them extra large) and a true St. Andrews feel.

Is it about golf, mostly, there is good safe storage for the clubs/bags etc away from the room,
which is nice, Andrew's food was the most delicious on the trip and we miss it. The lovely china
served in the mornings, the friendly people from all over the world and so interesting. It's all
good, it's higly referrable and you are absolutely in the Center of things. Everything is walkable.

You don't even need a car. You can arrange transportation to St. Andrews, Andrew can help
you with private and commercial drivers, they can also pick you up and deliver you to any course and back, just ask Andrews and Gillie.

So hope this is helpful, it's a small B & B, but all you need in this beautiful, quaint village.

Room Tip: Ask Andrew, there are 2 large spacious rooms. The front upper is huge and high ceiling and bright...

We were delighted by the friendly and informative hosts, Andrew and Gillie. Andrew made tasty breakfasts to order each morning. It was a perfect location for an easy walk to the golf courses or picking up the golf bus right in front of the house. Rooms were clean and comfy. Dining room and sitting room were well appointed with access to hot tea, coffee and biscuits all day. There were four of us and we would definitely stay here again in the future.
A very good value for such personalized service.
