My Son chose The Grange to have his Graduation meal. He chose well! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere intimate, the staff so very friendly and the views to die for. It was lovely to get the little surprise dishes between courses, not expected but made the meal even more special. Many of his friends chose restaurants in town, but it was well worth the small trip out of town to eat here. I wouldn't have changed anything, the only tiny comment I would make is that when we have eaten at top restaurants before the Vegetarian option on the set menu has been slightly cheaper, but at The Grange it was the same price.

It is probably best to book in advance to avoid dis-appointment, but certainly worth the effort. From memory, I think there were five starters, five main meals and a selection of sweets / cheeseboard. Since we were a party of five, we had a fair selection of the starters and sweets and all five mail dishes. Every dish was superb. The price is outstanding value whether the two or three course version is chosen. The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Highly recommended.

This was our visit to this lovely restaurant despite having the area on many occasions. The menu is not huge but it is possible to check the menu on line before you visit. The quality of the food was excellent and really much better than we had expected given the very reasonable price. We both enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back either at lunchtime or for dinner.

Outstanding in every way: food, service , ambiance and reasonable, competitive pricing. Bar is unique as are the drinks that are served by knowledgeable, friendly bartenders. The husband and wife team that own and run this restaurant are exceptional and are passionate about the food they prepare and serve. A must visit when in St. Andrews, Scotland!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here a few nights ago. We have eaten here quite a few times before , as in our opinion it is one of the best restaurants in the area. The staff are consistently friendly and you are always greeted by warm smiles from everyone. We were seated immediately and the menus presented. There is always a good selection so for starters we opted for the Cullen Skink, which was superb and my wife had the smoked poached salmon which simply melted in the mouth. For our main course we both selected the duo of Scottish Lamb which was beautifully presented and tasted delicious, cooked to our individual preferences. Portion size was spot on which left us with no room for dessert. One of the staff asked if it was a special occasion we were celebrating and we told her it was our anniversary, so it came as a complete surprise when we were presented with an oval plate with the wording Happy Anniversary written in chocolate and a selection of chocolates round the perimeter. A very nice touch.
2 Courses are £ 32 or £40 for three. With a very good selection on the wine list you would need to go a long way to find this quality of food at the price. Can't wait to go back again.
