“A great family day out!”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

We visited this park with our two children aged 3 and 2 and we had a fantastic time. The park itself is beautiful and has a lovely nature trail and pond. The children's play park, zip slide, obstacle course and trampolines are all free to use and our children had a great time on all of these. We also bought a family of 3 (our youngest didn't pay) day pass for £18 to use the other facilities in the park. These included train rides, bouncy castle, boat rides, crazy golf, use of toy cars round a small track and a rides aboard a tractor and trailer. This was great value and you could use these facilities again and again with the pass. There is a cafe which sells hot and cold food and a good variety of ice creams. There are plenty of picnic tables if you decide to bring your own food. A great day out!

“What A Park!”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

Was lucky enough to visit this park for the first time on Sunday, 29th June when the park was hosting a Country Fair. With thanks to tripadvisor contributors I learned that the park was FREE to enter. There are charges for some of the amenities such as the rowing boats/pedaloes, crazy golf, steam train whereby you can buy individual tickets at the ticket office, groups of tickets or an all day band . The attractions are at the most £1.50 each which I thought was fantastic value. You could however visit this park on a budget with the family and still use the various kids play parks, zip slide, trampolines and duck pond and beautiful gardens for free. I was most impressed by this immaculately kept park and enjoyed taking my 10 year old daughter out on the rowing boats whilst my husband relaxed and read the paper! We all also tried the crazy golf and train. Love this place, so much so, returned another twice with a picnic whilst on holiday for a week. Just the kind of traditional day out that I enjoyed with my parents in days gone by. Special thank you to the friendly staff/volunteers.

“A really special day where everyone had fun.”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

Visited today with a mixed age group of around 60 people. There was lovely grounds, gran and grandads on the boats, older people on the train and a competitive game of footy.
They've done a great job of this park.

“Excellent for families”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

They have improved the park so much its tidy clean. Toilets are now open again. Lack of bins on the main grassy area for picnic lovers would help. Cafe is clean tidy and friendly staff. Boating Lake is looking good. Lottery funding may help with the house on the boat lake to paint it or make a feature of it. Job well done to all the volunteers :)

“Brilliant place for kids!”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

We had a brilliant day here with our daughter. Not exactly cheap to get in but worth the money. Loads to do. My only concern was the cafe. The menu on offer considering this is a place aimed at families was pretty awful. Everything that came from the kitchen was beige? Literally not a vegetable or fruit on offer!! Also the amount of sweets, treats ice creams etc lined up at the till was overwhelming !
