Owner description: Craigtoun Park is a 47 acre park only 2 miles from St Andrews. The park itself is open 24/7 and it's a great day out for the whole family. During the season try the Rio Grande railway, Crazy Golf, Putting and Puffin,Billy - the road train that takes you round the whole Park. There are boats and pedaloes, a Bouncy castle and pedal cars for the little uns all open 10 - 5 weather permitting. The cafe is open every Saturday throughout the year and every day from April 1st to the end of October. It serves hot and cold food, teas and coffees and has a huge selection of ice creams. The paid for attractions open on 1st April this year and are then open every weekend and all Fife School holidays until the end of October 2017. More detail on our own website.

We've been coming once a year for the last few years and it's been fantastic to watch the transformation of the park. The space has always been beautiful, it's a huge site with loads of space for wee ones to run around. The added extras seem to have been instigated by the 'Friends of Craigtoun ' group and they've done an amazing job. Our kids love Puffin Billy- the tractor ride around the park and we enjoyed the crazy golf, bouncy castle and ride-ons. The only thing is that all the extras cost money and it can soon mount up. I spent £12 in a very short space of time. BUT all the money you spend is reinvested in the park so every time we come, there are new facilities. Entry is free and there's plenty of free parking so all in all I'd thoroughly recommend. Didn't eat here but bought snacks which didn't seem overpriced.

the re-opening of the park was great to see, but when we went back a week ago, and they had made many improvements. We went for the country fair, but took the opportunity to take a family pass for the season as we are lucky enough to be able to come back regularly.

We just spent a lovely morning walking through the park and having a go on the train and puffing Billy. We spoke to members of friends of Craigtoun park which was really informative and interesting, we will definitely be back very soon. There is no entry fee but you have to buy tickets for train, puffing Billy etc.

We visited this park with our two children aged 3 and 2 and we had a fantastic time. The park itself is beautiful and has a lovely nature trail and pond. The children's play park, zip slide, obstacle course and trampolines are all free to use and our children had a great time on all of these. We also bought a family of 3 (our youngest didn't pay) day pass for £18 to use the other facilities in the park. These included train rides, bouncy castle, boat rides, crazy golf, use of toy cars round a small track and a rides aboard a tractor and trailer. This was great value and you could use these facilities again and again with the pass. There is a cafe which sells hot and cold food and a good variety of ice creams. There are plenty of picnic tables if you decide to bring your own food. A great day out!

Was lucky enough to visit this park for the first time on Sunday, 29th June when the park was hosting a Country Fair. With thanks to tripadvisor contributors I learned that the park was FREE to enter. There are charges for some of the amenities such as the rowing boats/pedaloes, crazy golf, steam train whereby you can buy individual tickets at the ticket office, groups of tickets or an all day band . The attractions are at the most £1.50 each which I thought was fantastic value. You could however visit this park on a budget with the family and still use the various kids play parks, zip slide, trampolines and duck pond and beautiful gardens for free. I was most impressed by this immaculately kept park and enjoyed taking my 10 year old daughter out on the rowing boats whilst my husband relaxed and read the paper! We all also tried the crazy golf and train. Love this place, so much so, returned another twice with a picnic whilst on holiday for a week. Just the kind of traditional day out that I enjoyed with my parents in days gone by. Special thank you to the friendly staff/volunteers.
