Normally head for `BELLA ITALIA`, but wanted to try somewhere different and popped into Dervish and we were pleasantly surprised with the service and the food.Lovely `Hot Chicken Salad` and my wife enjoyed her `Baked Potato with Sun Dried Tomatoes and Mozerella`. EXCELLENT

In St Andrews on May holiday and all the restaurants were full, the rain was heavy and we went in. My friend had chicken and pesto toastie with chips and salad, I had mezze. Friend very pleased with toastie but said she would have mezze next time. Mezze for one was more than ample. All vegetarian - great - home made humous and falafel, salad and other very tasty food. It was a delight.
Staff friendly.
Will be back

Went here for lunch and it was pretty quiet. However we had a 25 minute wait for a black coffee and glass of water and a further 10 for our meze for two. When the meze arrived it was clearly the meze for one- the staff realised their error only after we had to ask for extra plate , cutlery and pitta bread. Another 10 minutes on they presented us with another meze to make up for the fact that they'd made a mistake with our order. Food tasted great but overall service was poor and disorganised. Would not recommend for a visit unless you have a lot of time on your hands and don't mind completely disjointed service.

Stumbled across this last night. Expected little... But absolutely delighted with what we found. Service was fantastic, exceptionally friendly and welcoming, attentive. Really courteous. We had a range of food, pizza, lamb sish, mixed pakora. All cooked to perfection and served quickly. Range of teas. Made to feel really welcome.... To the point.. Debating whether to go back tonight... Not a lot to look at from outside, but don't let that put you off. If you are looking for something quick / simple served with a smile and cooked with care... This is well worth a visit.. We will most definitely recommend and will return.

We came across this little restaurant and to be honest it didn't look much from the outside, but we are so glad we went in. The food was absolutely brilliant. I had garlic chicken, hubby had a chicken calzone and our son had a pizza. This is the first time we have went for something to eat and all of us cleared our plates. Even better the bill was very reasonable. If you are in St Andrews, definitely pay this place a visit as we will definitely be back.. I have got to say, I am very shocked at some of the other reviews as we could not fault the food, staff or price. Try it yourself, you will not be disappointed. Well recommended!!
