“Superb welcome and service”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 via mobile

Visited to celebrate our anniversary. Welcome and service was first class from car valet to restaurant staff.

Plenty staff on hand throughout the hotel to make us feel very well attended.

Package price included dinner and breakfast. Choice and quality of food was top.

Didn't have time to visit the Spa, but we will be back!

It was our first time in Old course hotel and we had a lovely time.Don't miss the breakfast on 4th floor with the beautiful view. Staff couldn't be more lovely and helpful. Especially the hard working girl (Swati) who served us breakfast with a very lovely smile on her face every morning and same smile in evening when she served us in Jiggers Inn and been very patient with us.Such a credit for the hotel i must say.Thank you so much girl. Hope to see you next time.
Can't wait to go back.

Just home from a night here for our wedding anniversary on dbb basis.
We were greated at reception with a lovely glass of prosecco and promptly checked in. The room was nice, bathroom lovely.
We enjoyed afternoon tea which was tremendous and service superb. Afterwards we spent an hour or so in the thermal suite and pool - sheer heaven. Dinner is offsite at hams hame a 10 min walk from hotel. This is an unpleasent walk home as its very dark with little or no lighting.
The view at breakfast is unbeatable.
BUT i cant put my finger on why this hotel wasnt perfect. Small things like hole in the fabric of the chair in our room, thick dust of the top of curtains, bulb out in the bathroom, noisy bath drainage just take the edge off perfection.
Ofcourse these are minor details and we would definitely return for another relaxing break

We came here to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday and were really happy with the over all experience. Service was wonderful and the staff could not have been more helpful. We booked a dinner, b&b package that seemed very good value. Our room was immaculate and I love the Art Deco decor. Breakfast was delicious and very we'll presented- we enjoyed the view from the breakfast restaurant looking onto the golf courses. We were sent to the new hams hame restaurant with was wonderful and again the service and food were wonderful. The spa is the best I've tried and I especially enjoyed the hydrotherapy pool. My little boy was over the moon with being given a beautiful teddy and rubber duck to take home. Thank you for a wonderful break.

I took my girlfriend here in valentines day and we were not disappointed the room was immaculate and the bathroom was the best I have ever seen.

Breakfast is served overlooking the golf course and is plentiful!

Be sure to visit the spa on your stay !

We did not play the old course but did really enjoy our stay. The breakfast on 4th floor was great with amazing view of the course. Sands grill was nice but on the first floor worth no view and the only dinner spot in the hotel. A short walk to town was perfect location. The spa was incredible. Did all the free saunas and pools was works class at the least. Did not book any treatments. The rooms are 5* but ours looked over the car canopy there fore no view of course. Would be spectacular to see the course. Well done Kohler group!!

On Saturday I stayed at the old course hotel with my family for my partners birthday and my sister in laws birthday. We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast deal which seemed very good value for money. Before we arrived (A week earlier) I sent an email to reservations to book a table for the Saturday night in the resturant. On arrival I asked if I could change the dinner reservation to later and was advised that nothing had been booked. We were then offered a meal in the Jigger Inn but turned this down as wasn't really nice enough for a birthday meal. We ended up going to Sands Grill which was lovely and the meal was great. Due to the mistake made by the hotel we were generously compensated. Overall the old course hotel is very nice, good place to relax and unwind. I will be back in future. Leisure facitilities were also very good.

Dear Guest,

We greatly appreciate the time you have taken to review your time at the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa.

Please accept our apologies for the confusion surrounding your booking in Hams Hame, this is most disappointing, and I totally understand your frustration especially given this was a birthday celebration.

I am pleased we were able to accomodate you in the Sands Gill and delighted you enjoyed your experience.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Resort in the not too distant future.

With kind regards,

David Scott
