Owner description: Only slightly more forgiving than its contemporaries on the seaward side of the Links, the Eden Course was built in 1914 by Harry S. Colt whose use of natural boundaries and severe bunkers provides a course full of character.

Very underrated curse which we really enjoyed. Some of the holes take a great deal of thought, however, the course planner does give good advice. Greens and bunkers in fantastic condition.

However, we played on a Sunday and play was slow. As a 2 ball we played behind a 4 ball of which two could hardly hit the ball, and who never asked us through, even though they had lost at least two holes. There seemed to be no evidence of a Course Marshall monitoring speed of play. Despite this we loved the course.

Our third course after The Castle and Kingsbarns. Obviously not in their league as the price would suggest, but still worth the visit. As we were travelling home after, we were pleased to only take 3 hours 20 min.

The Eden Course was in very good condition. We enjoyed the layout and it was our first experience playing holes that crossed over each other. We played on a Sunday which was probably not the wisest decision as the play was very slow and we had to wait quite a bit. We did not find the starter to be very friendly as what we experienced at other courses in Scotland. We were amazed at how nice the bathrooms were on the course. Despite the slow play, we still enjoyed the round and had a great lunch afterwards at the clubhouse.

Great course very similar to the famous courses that you can see when playing. Very very tricky in the wind.
