“Perfection”
Reviewed 27 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We enjoyed an amazing week. Sheila and Ian were splendid hosts and the amenities and location could not have been better. That applies whether your are a golfer or otherwise. Everything we could have asked for - golf, pubs, groceries, castles, aquarium, etc. was just steps away. We were able to leave our vehicle for free in a nearby car park and enjoy the town on foot all week.

The cottage was clean and new with all we could have asked for. Sheila thoughtfully even ensured their were board games available for our daughter.

The deck and the garden are perfect spots for relaxing and the back gate entrance to Gillespie Wynd made us feel feel like wewere in your secret vacation lair.

We're looking forward to a return booking and have already recommended The Whins to several friends.

“Excellent accommodation in a brilliant location.”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This was the second time that we have stayed at The Whins Cottage. We are a family with 7 and 4 year olds. The cottage is immaculately clean and contemporary, with a pleasant outlook into a well kept garden. The location is simply superb, being a two minute walk from the 1st tee of the Old Course and a five minute walk into the historic town. The sandy and family friendly West Sands beach is also a five minute walk. St Andrews itself is charming, quaint and steeped in very interesting (and grisly) history, with a very good selection of restaurants. Beautiful Fife fishing villages are also only a short drive away. All in all, a great holiday choice, with something for everyone.

“First Class accomodation”
Reviewed 12 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This is our second visit to The Whins, and once again we were delighted with the accommodation and the location. Sheila and her husband were very helpful and even dropped off some extra toys for our daughter. Central location, secluded accommodation. Beautiful apartment, superbly maintained. Couldn't ask for more.

Just back from a fabulous week at Whins cottage. Great location with an easy walk to beach and town centre. Sheila and Ian are perfect hosts who will try and offer advice and assistance if required.

This is our second stay and hope to be back

“Great accomodation, quiet and close to town and Golf.”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The property is modern and very well maintained, due to it's location it is quiet yet it's only a short walk to the town and The Scores is just through the garden gate. The Old course and club house are just round the corner. Everything you might need for a vacation is available and in excellent order. The accommodation layout is excellent making the most of the outside, it feels very spacious. We have visited St Andrews for the golf many times and you can't beat being near the courses, this property does just that. You can park up for the week and walk down each day. We would definitely use again.

“Great accomodation”
Reviewed 14 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had a great week in and around St. Andrews. The house has a very quiet location between North Street and The Scores. It was very well and modern furnished. Perfect for a Golf Holiday. Second bedroom could have more space and a bigger bed.
