“Worth a try but wouldn't rush back”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014 via mobile

It is almost impossible to book a table at St Andrews, particularly on a Saturday night, unless you are on the ball. Hams Hame don't do reservations so it is good to be able to just turn up. The selection is a 'pub grub' choice. We had the Fish and Chips and a bottle of wine. The service was quite good and the food ok. From reports I had heard I expected a bit more. Whilst it is pleasant I felt it lacked atmosphere. The choice was ok but I find it difficult
to pass a nice offering of fish and chips and like I said was ok but have had better elsewhere locally. It wasn't particularly cheap nearly £60 for two fish and chips a bottle of New Zealand Marlborough at £35.
It is difficult to rate it down but I wouldn't rush back.

“Casual and Nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 July 2014

The location of the restaurant is superb. The food and the service was both very good. We had just reached St Andrews after a long trip from Mumbai and this early dinner hit just the right spot. All in all very good.

“Good food with a lively atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 July 2014

Located right across from the Old Course and just across from our guesthouse so place was perfect for our evening. The service was excellent (think it is owned by the Old Course hotel so it should be) and the food was pub/bistro style. Reasonably priced too.

“a fun spot”

At our shuttle bus driver's suggestion, we ate here, so close to the Old Course. Great atmosphere, nice hospitality, good food. Would love to return.

“Superb food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2014

Had a fantastic meal in the bar whilst watching Brazil's humiliating World Cup defeat. The service was excellent, we were a large party, all the food was nice and hot and of fantastic quality. If you are in St. Andrews then a visit to this new establishment is a must.
