“Beer and burger for £5!”

Great beer, fantastic staff and lovely atmosphere!

Popped in with a group of friends and had the beer and a burger for £5 deal. Excellent value and quality -the beer and burger are almost worth a fiver separately on their own!

“Expensive place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2014

Headed in here for a hot drink whilst waiting to meet up with family. Seating wasn't comfortable with old barrels for tables. Disappointed that there was no hot chocolate - we ordered a tea and a single whisky which came to £7 and blackboards showed pints of stout costing upto £12. The place was full of uni students, obviously a local hangout so we did feel quite out of place. Overall not my cup of tea.

“good beer, nice staff, good tapas, lovely hot stove!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 May 2014

good beer - tried a couple of samples then chose one, perfect size for a lunch time drink. Good atmosphere with friendly helpful staff who were very knowledgeable on the beers. We had 5 tapas between the 2 of us as we were hungry and just managed to eat it all - lamb was excellent. Lovely hot stove on a sunny but chilly day in St Andrews!

“Poor beer, noisy and pricey”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014 via mobile

I was unimpressed by the beer and the service in here. The beer comes in tidy glasses and is very expensive. Mine appeared to be sour - not sure if that was deliberate. If you want a nice pint of proper beer go to the central.
