“Disappointed”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 via mobile

I was really looking forward to visiting as a real fan of decent local beers and the half pint of Wee Blonde was superb, if a little pricey at £2.75.

On the downside they only sell half pints and the two members of staff couldn't sell the halves fast enough. I lost the will to queue for the second half and went a couple of doors down the road to a pub that sold St Andrews Brewing Co Crief ale in pints and cheaper!

The beer is superb and I have formulated a cunning plan for the next visit, I will double up on the purchases!

“A true jewel”
Reviewed 22 August 2014

We happened upon this place on our way through St. Andrews and are so happy for our luck. They have a fantastic offering of craft and micro brews by their own company and other micro brews throughout Scotland. The staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about the beer and took a lot of time to help match us to the beer that fits our taste. The atmosphere is very comfortable, lots of wood, some nice couches and fireplace. There's a small hall upstairs with long picnic type tables, looks great for a special event. Didn't eat anything, but the food did look good. Definitely worth the stop and you can buy bottles to go.

“Friendly bar, good beer”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

Popped in twice for lunch into this bar, hubbie loved the beers on tap, kids were happy playing chequers, tapas tasty. A nice, relaxed place for lunch, although they need more staff.
