Our family of four with adult children using two room played golf at St. Andrews and had a wonderful experience. Jackie made us a breakfast to go since we had an early tee, she is very gracious and a great hotelier. The rooms, # 3 & 6 were very clean, modern, tastefully redone and great, this is easily a 4-5 star B&B. I have made several recommendations and will most definitely stay there again.

We were completely delighted by Five Pilmour Place. I had done lots and lots of research, looking for an acceptable place to stay in St. Andrews--and I found it and then some. Being picky, I wanted a place that was cheery, clean, private, and with a good location. This fit the bill perfectly! We stayed in the detached room across the back patio--I can't remember the room number, but we felt like we had our own tiny cottage. It was new and bright, and the bathroom really large. I would request this room again, as it afforded us a bit of a shortcut--just a few steps to the 18th hole at St. Andrews. Though we only made it to breakfast one day, it was delicious. The location couldn't have been better for an easy walk anywhere in town. We loved St. Andrews so much that we worked with Jackie to extend our stay from 2 nights to 3. We are already desperate to come back, and we've only been home for about 10 days! The back patio was so pretty and a nice place to meet up with a local friend. Thank you Jackie and Norman for your hospitality!

Thoroughly recommend this place. The location is ideal, service is great and the breakfast was amazing. The price is also very reasonable for such a great place. Spotless throughout and comfortable beds. Can't ask for more.

Recently 4 gentlemen from Ottawa Ontario Canada stayed here while playing golf around St. Andrews. We would ALL highly recommend this B and B for many reasons. 1)Proximity to St. Andrews golf courses...approx. a one minute walk out the beautiful rear garden to the first tee at the "Old Course". Attention to detail with regards to the décor of the entire place. Traditional Scottish breakfast really means "whatever and as much as you want of pretty well anything". Lastly it was the wonderful warm hospitality of owners Norman and Jackie Wright. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Room #6 is at the rear...has it's own entrance and is very quiet.

We could not have found a better place in St. Andrews at any price! The location to the golf courses could not be better, and the business district is only two or three blocks away and other sight seeing is an easy walk. Jackie and Norman are a couple of the greatest people in the world and work a really nice Bed and Breakfast. Our room (2) was small but had a wonderful king size bed and newly decorated bathroom.

Room Tip: If you want more space, choose rooms 3,6 or 7

A fabulous B and B Guest House. Incredibly welcoming, super breakfast and only 200 yards walk to Old Course 1st tee. Jackie and Norman are great hosts and go out of their way to make sure you have a great time- and the other staff are very good. Rooms spotless. Beds super comfortable.

Lovely Saturday night stay at 5 Pilmour, great location, beautiful room and fantastic breakfast. Jackie and her staff were most welcoming and altough we only stayed one night we would certainly return for a longer stay as it is in the perfect location whether for golf, beach or just visiting the wonderful town that is St andrews.
