This property is clearly a student dwelling during term time at St Andrews. Whilst it was clean, there were various things that could be rectified to improve it. The loo seat in the upstairs shower room did not fit the toilet bowl and was also very loose, 2 of the 3 toilet door locks did not work, the dishwasher upper rack was broken so that if you pulled it out it would not go back in properly, the door knobs were hanging off in a couple of the bedrooms and the second bottom step on the stairs was broken so it moves as you step on it - something we all learnt quickly to avoid falling up/down the stairs. The rooms could also do with a lick of white paint (three of them are currently dark peach, blue and dark lilac). Whilst it is fine for a short break it is certainly not the nicest cottage we have stayed in in St Andrews.
Our 5th time staying in this excellent property. As always the property was clean and tidy and its' central location is first class. Décor and living room furniture is a little bit tired and could benefit from a freshen up but it is well equipped.

A nice little cottage, right in the heart of town. Very convenient. We were three couples, so the 3 bedroom layout worked well for us. It has the 'St Andrews' feeling about it, with the history of being an old fishermen house. But in our case the weather was fantastic so we ended up spending most of our time in the private courtyard. Only complaint is that some decor needs to be touched up here and there. The agents said this will be done for next season. We plan to go back on a golfing trip next year. Overall, we had a nice time here so we like it.
