looking for a lite lunch on saturday seen a board on the street £5.95 for a four course lunch, gave it a try and glad we did, clean inside, good waiter service, nice soup to start with, tasty starters, spring rolls, poppadoms n nice sauce, and then to tasty bhunas all for £5.95 each, came out full and satisfied, well worth it.

We went to the restaurant on a Friday night around 7 and had not booked. Due to the popularity (the restaurant quickly filled up and there was a stream of people collecting takeaways) we had to wait 10 minutes.

Food was very good, extensive menus and good value for money as well. Not somewhere to go for a long romantic dinner, but good for a Friday night dinner.

Service was good, although our bill was presented without being asked if we wanted coffee or pudding, which was a little odd.

Prepare yourself for the unexpected. This is a Bangladeshi Curry House in the middle of St Andrews specialising in fish curries, Yes, fish curries. Haddock, Cod etc. They have all the other curries as well but their specials are worth taking a look at. I had King Prawn just to be on the safe side and it was very tasty. The other fish curries left me a bit bemused but everyone seemed to enjoy them, although I have to say they still have a long way to go to beat Mother India in Glasgow and Edinburgh. On the whole it was very good and I enjoyed the experience. Oh, yes, I would go back. It is very comfortable, caring staff and excellent service. Boris Johnson seemed to enjoy it Not cheap.

For 6.95 you get a poppadom, a naan, rice, starter, and a curry to take away, and 8.95 to sit in. I would like to see someone to find a cheaper meal in the town, I would go to Maisha even if the food wasn't very good. But the fact is that the meal is brilliant, the naan is soft and thin, easily the best in town. The starters are nice and not dried out like other places tend to be, plus the fruit sauce that comes with them is to die for. And finally the main event, the curry, they are delicious, good sized, lots of meat and brilliantly spiced, with a good selection that will satisfy those with even the hottest tastebuds. I don't think I have ever bought more food from a takeaway for 6.95, and be so satisfied.
