“Lovely cottage in the city center”

Alison's Close is a charming two storeyed apartment in a lovely old house in the very center of the town, just a few steps from South Street in a quiet courtyard. The apartment is more than spacious for two, tastefully arranged, completely equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay in St. Andrews. The contact with the owner was always enjoyable and prompt, although she doesn't live close by. Everything was perfect, but we liked the huge and comfortable bed as well as the en suite bathroom particularly. Not to forget, there was a nice wellcome hamper full of delicious things when we arrived. Highly recommended!

“Little gem in the heart of St Andrews”

Just back from spending Christmas at the cottage. Had a fabulous time and the cottage has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. It's walking distance to everything, Botanical Gardens, beaches, shops, restaurants, pubs, cinema and all the history that makes St Andrews so special.

The owners are extremely professional and so very helpful. I will definitely be booking the cottage again in the future.

Many thanks!

Pamela

A lovely place to stay, right in the middle of St Andrews. Owners (off site) were a pleasure to deal with. Excellent base for exploring one of my favourite places in the world. Loved the very large comfy bed upstairs. Enjoyed being amongst so much history - lanes to explore on both sides of cottage. Lovely welcome basket of goodies. Would highly recommend.

“Enjoyable short break”
Reviewed 18 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Cottage very well appointed and great to be so central. This does have its downside hence 4 stars rather than 5 as one night we were kept awake with very noisy folks partying down the adjoining close. Other than that a most enjoyable stay.

“Quiet getaway in the middle of St Andrews”
Reviewed 9 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

2 Alison's close is a tiny little one-up, one-down cottage renovated to a very high standard. It is best rented by two people at the most as its shower (nice and big) and toilet are ensuite. Downstairs is a lovely modern, well-equipped kitchen/living room. Right in the centre of town, it is off the main road, so quiet, but you are really close to the shops, pubs and restaurants and only a 5-minute walk from the beach and the golf course. Just right for a getaway for two. We loved St Andrews and very much enjoyed our stay in the cottage.

“Perfect place to stay in St Andrews”
Reviewed 10 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We loved this place. Nice big bedroom upstairs with a good bathroom. Good kitchen (we stayed in and cooked one night). The pullout couch was ok for our 17-year-old. It's located down a little alley, just off South Street, so you couldn't ask for a better location: quiet, charming, and convenient. The owner left us a nice welcome basket (with wine!..thanks, Nikki). We'll stay here again when we return.
