The house has a large gravel driveway for cars, has room for many guests and several conversation areas (e.g. glass sun room, living room, kitchen all have seating for 4 or more).
Very clean, very well decorated and very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and linens were high quality and clean. Lighting, appliances and plumbing all worked great!
It is amazingly peaceful and quiet. We could sit reading for hours and not even here cars going by.
It may not be ideal for small children due to beautiful sculptures through out the house. People who are disabled can stay on first floor as long as the can navigate gravel driveway. Teenagers may not be excited by the beautiful country setting.
Only suggested improvement, the Internet worked, but would not recommend having 4 people trying to watch videos at once, this may be what is available in Scotland, but folks from USA with super fast internet will need to adjust their expectations.

We stayed at Claremont Lodge for 3 nights on a golf trip and I couldn't fault any part of the accommodation. The house is new and is situated in a fantastic spot with the peace and views of the countryside and only a short taxi ride to the town for bars, restaurants etc.
The house is finished to an extremely high spec and with everything you could want....smart TVs, cookers you need a degree to operate, BBQ, two patio areas, practice golf net, tons of parking, 4 bathrooms. All beds, bedding, towels etc are high quality.
Thanks to Penny and David who were easy to deal with and weren't intrusive which can't be easy when letting your lovely house out to strangers!
Do not even hesitate to book Claremont Lodge, you will not be disappointed and if you do make sure you leave it the way you find it because we will be back the next time we have a golf trip or family getaway to St Andrews.

I had the pleasure of staying at Claremont Lodge for a 3 night stay with a group of girlfriends on a golfing break, we were all stunned by the beautiful accomadation which had no expense spared !! The location is ideal for easy access into St Andrews which is 5 minutes away by car ! We look forward to our return stay !
