Food was good, service by the waitress was good. We all had the £6.25 deal and it's BYOB so good value.
Soured by the manager refusing to replace a bottle of beer that the waitress dropped (after we'd paid and tipped...). It's not complicated - he's saved himself 80p on a bottle of kingfisher, but lost all repeat custom from a table of 12.

Don't order too many starters, they are all delicious but so are the ma is. Skip the desserts and byob. Intimate, atmospheric, great location. Always busy. Book!

Tiny little restaurant just above Jinty's in Ashton Lane ... blink and you'll miss it. Hadn't been there in a few years so late Saturday afternoon we gave it a try, restaurant was empty but apparently we had missed the lunchtime rush. We were still offered the lunchtime menu as well as the a la carte and opted for the Thali dishes on the a la carte (Like Tapas - each person gets 2 dishes rice and chapati for £6 each great if you want to try something new) Our eyes were bigger than our bellies as we also ordered the pakora, one haggis and one chicken, the chicken pakora is not on the menu so you have to ask them for it but please do it is absolutely fantastic! Our main courses were equally great especially the butter chicken. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Sat for a while afterwards watching the world go by on Ashton Lane Top Place.

We have been to the Wee Curry Shop before and loved the food and the small menu. The food we had was pretty average- lentil cake and fish pakora were tasteless. Miles away from the flavour packed starters we had previously enjoyed. I had chicken tikka and asked for a hotter sauce. I got a very runny insipid sauce but the meat was nice enough. My partner has butter chicken which was ok but the meat was dry. We will give this one a miss in future.
