Wow! Had a sneaky business lunch and what great value. For £5.50 I had veg pakora, chicken karahi, a nan and some rice. Food was served quickly and tasted beautiful. My tastebuds were tingling. The staff were attentive and service speedy, just what we needed for a quick lunch!

I got a take out last night in Glasgow and ordered Vegetable Pakora which was decent. When I opened up the Vegetable Curry there were all kinds of vegetables that don't go together. To many chick peas mixed with mushrooms and what not. Not going back there again. Please owner be a bit more creative with Vegetarian dishes

Our nephew was on a flying visit home from Hong Kong and was dying for a decent curry. He used to frequent The Wee Curry Shop whilst at Glasgow Uni some years earlier and fancied giving it a go. After a few beers in the beer garden downstairs we made our way up the winding stairs to this tiny wee restaurant. My first thought was we would swelter in here as it was a really hot night but once settled at our table for eight people we were delighted at how cool it was with all the windows open. First impression is what a chilled little place with an air of shabby chic that you instatly relax.

The welcome and service is first rate. The young woman who looked after us was fantastic and we should have listened to here when she suggested we cut down on the amount of pakora we had ordered as the portions are very generous. The fish masala and the haggis pakora's were topnotch. I had the Garlic Chilli Chicken which was melt in your mouth delicious. Also tasted the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Biryani and they were devine as was our selction of rice and breads.

The Wee Curry Shop does not have an extensive menu but what the do they prepare to a very high standard, they present fantastic dishes rather than many more mediocre ones. There is certainly plenty of choice even for the fussy diner.

The only small gripe is the single unisex toilet which could prove a problem on a busy night but you can always pop across the landing to Jintys.

We will most definately make this our regular haunt for great Indian food and atmosphere when in the West End.

Food was good, service by the waitress was good. We all had the £6.25 deal and it's BYOB so good value.
Soured by the manager refusing to replace a bottle of beer that the waitress dropped (after we'd paid and tipped...). It's not complicated - he's saved himself 80p on a bottle of kingfisher, but lost all repeat custom from a table of 12.
