I went to dinner in the quay ashoka in the old docks. We turned up at quarter past eight for the buffet. Children over 7 pay full price so that was the first downside as my 13 year old didnt eat hardly anything. We were not late by any means and yet the very rude staff were hovering round our table to hurry us along, asking us as soon as we started our starters if we wanted any more because they wanted to clear it away! They turned the lights out in the buffet before we even got our main course and hovered round us again asking us if we were ready for it, even asking to clear our starter plates away TWICE while we were still eating it. We got more and more angry each time they came near us. This went on through the whole meal while they hurried us along, hoping for an early night i should preusme. We complained at the end to a very rude and couldnt care less manager and staff who argued the point that they did ask if we wanted more before clearing it away. They refused to see the point that it made for a very uncomfortable dining experience.
The food was rubbish, the starter was ok but the main currys had no flavour they were all just 'hot' even their chicken tikka masalla was just 'hot' no flavour whatsoever.
Dont waste your money, you will be well advised to go find a nice independent little Indian restaurant with some customer service and decent food.
